Human rights belong to every person in the world, regardless of nationality, race, religion, gender, language, or geographical boundaries. They are inherent and universal, forming the foundation of human dignity, freedom, equality, and justice. Throughout history, governments, dictators, and oppressive regimes have attempted to suppress or deny these rights, sometimes for years or even generations. However, while they may restrict the exercise of human rights temporarily, they cannot erase the fundamental rights that every human being possesses by virtue of being human. Human rights are not granted by any government; they are inherent to all people and remain a powerful force that continues to inspire struggles for freedom, justice, and peace across the world.

Every year, wildfires threaten lives, homes and nature across Europe.

But no country faces them alone.

This summer, the EU is deploying its largest-ever wildfire response:

🛩️ 22 firefighting planes and 5 helicopters
🧑🏽‍🚒 770+ firefighters pre-positioned across high-risk areas
🆘 24/7 Emergency Response Coordination Centre
🛰️ Copernicus satellite mapping
🇨🇾 Upcoming European regional firefighting station in Cyprus

When fires spread, so does our solidarity.

Report on Situation of Foreigners in South Africa

Recent developments in South Africa indicate growing concerns regarding the safety and security of foreign nationals living in different parts of the country. Reports suggest an increase in xenophobic tensions, harassment, and attacks targeting migrants and foreign communities, particularly from other African countries.

Several incidents of violence against foreigners have been reported in major cities, including attacks on migrant-owned businesses and physical assaults. Media reports also confirmed that some foreign nationals were killed during these incidents, causing concern among African governments and human rights organizations.

The tensions are largely linked to economic challenges, unemployment, and anti-immigration sentiments among certain groups. Some organizations and movements have openly protested against undocumented migrants, further increasing fear and insecurity among foreign communities.

The South African government has condemned xenophobic violence and pledged to maintain law and order. However, concerns remain regarding the protection and safety of foreigners residing in the country.

The situation continues to attract international attention, with calls for peace, tolerance, and stronger measures to protect human rights and promote social harmony in South Africa.

UNIVERSAL MESSAGE OF PEACE AND EID GREETINGS

On this blessed occasion of Eid, we extend our heartfelt wishes to all humanity with a deep call for peace, dignity, mercy, and brotherhood.

Eid is a sacred time when the human heart remembers compassion, when broken ties may be healed, when hope rises again above sorrow, and when the light of kindness becomes stronger than the shadows of division.

Across the world, humanity needs peace more than ever: peace that protects human dignity, peace that shelters children from fear, peace that honors women, safeguards the vulnerable, listens to the oppressed, and brings nations closer through mutual respect and understanding.

May this blessed Eid bring health, serenity, abundance, justice, and lasting peace to every land, every home, and every heart.

May the conscience of humanity be illuminated by love, wisdom, and mercy.
May the path of the world be guided by compassion, unity, and the noble responsibility of protecting life.

With sincere prayers for a more peaceful, humane, and hopeful world, we wish a blessed Eid to all people, all nations, and the entire human family.

Eid Mubarak to all humanity.
