The country is regaining control. This new intervention is not a good thing for businesses.

As the welfare state expanded, so did public spending. Governments are fast becoming owners, especially with businesses. Dominance is manifested in new and old ways.

One reason, however, is that four old-fashioned tools — industrial policy, no-confidence, regulation, and taxation - are gathering dust. Historically, spiritual heritage has often provided humanity with the capacity for personal and social transformation. Simply put, for many people around the world, faith is embedded in cultures, practices, traditions and community values.
As a repository of symbols, a system of belief, a convergence of cultural rights, a structure of morality, an institution of power and one that challenges old systems, faith should once again explore how it can offer people a sense of community, a trusted authority and meaning for their lives.
