Industrial Visit to NASTP

The senior batch of BS Robotics and Intelligent Systems had the opportunity to visit NASTP, gaining valuable exposure to cutting-edge technologies, innovation, and industry practices.

The visit proved to be a highly fruitful learning experience, providing students with insights into real-world applications of robotics, automation, and advanced engineering systems.

Such industry engagements play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical implementation.

Our talented Robotics students proudly represented the department at NERC 2026 by showcasing their technical skills, innovation, and teamwork through the development of autonomous drones and Sumo robots.

From designing and assembling hardware to programming and testing their creations, the students demonstrated remarkable dedication and engineering excellence throughout the competition.

We congratulate all participating students and mentors for their hard work and wish them continued success in future competitions.

The Al-Muhandis Society organized a Career Counselling Session for final-year Mechanical Engineering students, conducted by Mr. Syed Hassan Shah, Assistant Professor.

The session provided valuable guidance on career planning, professional development, higher education opportunities, and industry expectations, helping students prepare for their transition from academia to the professional world.

💧 Water Fact Wall – Theme 3: Water 💧

Al-Muhandis Society, in collaboration with GYMC, successfully organized the Water Fact Wall activity at CUST under Theme 3: Water.

Students actively participated by sharing their valuable ideas and suggestions on water conservation through sticky notes and placing them on the Water Fact Wall. The activity encouraged awareness, creativity, and collective responsibility towards protecting one of our most precious resources.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), organized an interactive academic engagement session with Dr. Syed Atif Iqrar, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Teesside University, United Kingdom, on June 8, 2026.

The session brought together faculty members and researchers to explore opportunities for international academic and research collaboration. Dr. Iqrar shared insights from his extensive research experience in thermofluids, computational modelling, microfluidics, sustainable energy systems, advanced manufacturing, and multidisciplinary engineering research. Discussions focused on joint research projects, high-impact publications, international funding opportunities, postgraduate supervision, student mobility, and potential institutional collaboration between CUST and Teesside University.

The session was attended by Mr. Afzal, Director ORIC CUST, along with faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and provided a valuable platform for strengthening global research partnerships and fostering future collaborative initiatives.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering proudly celebrated the achievements of students who earned a place on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Honor Roll, recognizing their outstanding academic performance, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
