Industrial Visit to NASTP

Our talented Robotics students proudly represented the department at NERC 2026 by showcasing their technical skills, innovation, and teamwork through the development of autonomous drones and Sumo robots.

From designing and assembling hardware to programming and testing their creations, the students demonstrated remarkable dedication and engineering excellence throughout the competition.

💧 Water Fact Wall – Theme 3: Water 💧

Al-Muhandis Society, in collaboration with GYMC, successfully organized the Water Fact Wall activity at CUST under Theme 3: Water.

Students actively participated by sharing their valuable ideas and suggestions on water conservation through sticky notes and placing them on the Water Fact Wall. The activity encouraged awareness, creativity, and collective responsibility towards protecting one of our most precious resources.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), organized an interactive academic engagement session with Dr. Syed Atif Iqrar, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Teesside University, United Kingdom, on June 8, 2026.

The session brought together faculty members and researchers to explore opportunities for international academic and research collaboration. Dr. Iqrar shared insights from his extensive research experience in thermofluids, computational modelling, microfluidics, sustainable energy systems, advanced manufacturing, and multidisciplinary engineering research. Discussions focused on joint research projects, high-impact publications, international funding opportunities, postgraduate supervision, student mobility, and potential institutional collaboration between CUST and Teesside University.

The session was attended by Mr. Afzal, Director ORIC CUST, along with faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and provided a valuable platform for strengthening global research partnerships and fostering future collaborative initiatives.
