Education may be divided into two classes general and technical. The education which provides special practical knowledge and skills in known as technical education. It is different from general education. General education aims at filling the mind with general knowledge of arts and sciences. Technical education is training in practical arts and science. It means learning particular art or science by actual practice. The people who have special technical skills and knowledge are called technicians. Carpenter, drivers, mechanics, engineers, doctors, pilots, and so on are technicians.

There are various branches of technical education such as engineering, commercial, medical, industrial, and agricultural. The present education system of Bangladesh may be broadly divided into three major stages, viz. general education, madrasa education, and technical education.

The prosperity of a country depends on her industry and industry again depends on technical knowledge. No nation can develop without a large number of technically qualified men. Infect, the most prosperous countries are those that have advanced in technical education. The government tries to ensure that the course curriculum should be relevant to students’ interests and aspirations while at the same time it should address the needs of the job market.

Pakistan Technical & Educational Council (PTEC) is the largest Technical, Vocational, Professional base of Pakistan which thinks about youth bright future. Those people who are literate or illiterate and have skilled but they do not have certificate and diploma due to this they are at loss at development of society they do not have their skills identification. They cannot be able to prove their selves of they get a chance to have brilliant vacancy or handsome salary in a city or abroad. Our organization provides them certificate on behalf of their ability, so that they could prove their selves and walk along with prosperous society.

The Pakistan Technical & Education Council (PTEC) has been constituted as statutory body under society registration Act (XXi of 1860), by the Government of Pakistan under National Training Ordinance – 1980 amended Ordinance – 2002 on the initiative of World Bank, ILO and Employers’ Federation of Pakistan, to make the Technical & Vocational Training Programs flexible, demand driven and cost effective with the maximum participation of employers.

The main social target of our Organization, Governments and of WHO should be the attainment by all the people of the world by the year 2050 of a level of health which would permit them to lead a socially and economically productive life. The basic aims of Trade Testing Council are to promote Technical / Health Education and to provide well-trained and highly Skilled Professionals to Society and to decrease unemployment graph level. It is basically an employer led autonomous organization functioning under National Training Board on the methodology of public & private partnership.
