Surah Al-Ikhlas in English :
In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Say, “He is God, the One.
2. God, the Absolute.
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is nothing comparable to Him.”
This is a clear statement by God describing Himself to humanity without any room for confusion. God is One and is exalted above everything He creates.
This chapter of the Quran is about the oneness of God. The concept of God has been presented here in its purest form, ridding it of all polluting associations which people of every age have brought to it. There is no plurality of gods. There is only one God. All are dependent upon Him, but He is not dependent on anybody. He Himself has power over everything. He is far above being the progeny of anybody or having any offspring. He is such a unique being that there is nobody like Him or equal to Him in any manner whatsoever.
The doctrine of God’s pure unity, or The Divine oneness, is clearly stated here: God is not many , He is only One. Everyone is in need of Him ,but He is not in need of anyone. He reigns over all things of the heavens and the earth. Unlike human beings , He has no son or father. He is eternal ,without beginning or end, and is thus a Unique Being who has no equal.
This Chapter has been called the essence of the Quran. The prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, once described this Chapter as
“ equivalent to one-third of the whole Quran ”{ Bukhari and Muslim }
Muslims believe in one, unique, incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner, and that none has the right to be worshipped but Him alone. He is the true God, and every other deity is false. He has the most magnificent names and sublime perfect attributes. No one shares His divinity, nor His attributes.

Pure and Clear Concept of God
Unlike other religions, Islam is not named after its founder or the community of its birth. Islam is an attributive title that signifies obedience to God, the Creator of the Universe. One of its main beauties is that it acknowledges the complete perfection, greatness and uniqueness of God with absolutely no compromises. This is reflected in Islam’s pure teachings of the attributes of God.
God is One and Unique:
God has no partners, no equals and no rivals.
God has no father, mother, sons, daughters or wives.
God alone is worthy of all worship.
God is the All-Powerful:
God has full authority and power over all things.
Obedience to God does not increase His Power, nor does disobedience decrease His power.
God is the Most High:
There is nothing above or comparable to God.
The attributes of God do not resemble that of His creation.
No part of God is present in anyone or anything.
God is Perfect:
God does not have any human limitations, such as resting on the seventh day after He created the universe.
God always maintains attributes of perfection and does not do anything to compromise this perfection such as “becoming a man” as claimed by other religions. God does not do ungodly acts, so if God became man and took on human attributes, he would, necessarily, no longer be God.
in order to worship God, we have to know Him well otherwise we may form a distorted concept of Him and then go astray. God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine and he is the only one worthy of worship:
{ There is nothing similar to Him } Quran 42:11
Finding Yourself
Healing the Broken Heart

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramdhaan
1) Out of sincere faith, and
2) Hoping to attain Allah's rewards,
then all his past sins will be forgiven.
(SAHIH BUKHARI Hadith #38)
Don’t be afraid to reboot your life many times over & start afresh. But if the program doesn’t involve the Almighty, you’ll be back to square one in no time, with no progress being made. Never leave Him out of your equation if you want success, both in this world & the next.
Learn to let go of things that went wrong or didn’t work out. That’s life in a nutshell. Keep going. You’ll never win this race of life if you keep looking back. The mistakes you’ve made don’t define who you are today. Think positive that things will get better.

Ego means that a man considers himself as a separate being and has personal inclinations. Ego is the main obstacle in acquiring good in our lives because it forces us to be selfish and allows us to think for ourselves merely. Islam teaches to be kind to all and sacrifice one’s ego in order to remain humble as with gross ego, one cannot achieve what Allah and Quran have commanded. A man that has a big ego is like a man that is in servitude of himself and a worshiper of himself. Allah says
“And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive to Allah.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:45)
The Ego clings to definitions formed by perceptions of your past and fears of the future. The Ego seeks to alienate you from the world. It pretends that it wants to protect you and show you your weakness or your good points. But beware of the Ego because it makes you dependent on the external world for its approval. The Ego works through dependency and you end up seeking people’s approval for your happiness. Allah says
“Remember your Lord in yourselves with humility and in private without announcing it in the mornings and evenings, and do not be among the heedless.” (Surah Al-A’raf 7:205)
Ego is a double-edged sword, it can help you attract a few fans but on the other hand, it will fill the hearts of other people who surround you with hatred. After all, no one likes someone to treat him arrogantly. An arrogant person is the one who acts as if he is superior, more worthy and more important than the others.
The Quran tells us in many Ayaat that those who have Ego:
“… truly He likes not the proud.” (Quran, 16:23)
“Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.” (Al-Maida: 42)
“… are signs for a people who give thought.” (Quran 13:3)
“and whatever you have of favour – it is from Allah.” (An-Nahl: 53)
“Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him] on.” (Al-Imran: 159)
“and do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.” (Al-Baqara: 195)
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Quran 13:28)
”And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.” (Quran, 31:18)
“Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell – in humiliation!” (Quran 40:60)
We think our problems will never get better. That’s our whole problem. We lack faith. We lack trust in the Almighty. Has it occurred to us that He already had the solution way before we had the problem?

Saladin: Courageous and Brilliant
Salahuddin Ayyubi, popularly known in the West as Saladin, was a courageous and brilliant Muslim leader during the 12th century. His firm foundation in the religion and its prime values, leading to his commitment to the Islamic cause, enabled him to accomplish great things.
His Ayyubid Empire united Egypt and Syria. Above all, he played an instrumental role in turning the tide against the Crusaders by successfully reclaiming Jerusalem and earned a name for himself in the annals of both Muslim and Western history.
Saladin was born in 1137 AD in Tikrit, Iraq, and studied the Quran and theology along with astronomy, mathematics, and law. He joined the military as a young man and was ably trained by his uncle Asad-al-Din Shirkoh, a commander of the Zengid Dynasty. Saladin’s impressive performance in his early battles enabled him to take on leading responsibilities during military campaigns.
His rise from a soldier to the King of Egypt and Syria was the result of both cleverly executed tactics and advantageous circumstances. He held key posts in Egypt, enabling him to consolidate power and overthrow the Fatimids. Syria, at the time, was ruled by the Zengids; when the Zengid ruler unexpectedly died, leaving an underage successor, the road was eventually cleared for Saladin to capture Syria. During his reign, Saladin built many schools, hospitals, and institutions in his quest for intellectual and civic achievements. He was also determined to bring justice, peace, and prosperity to those within his domain.

Dua Before Sleeping
'' Oh ALLAH, I live and die calling your name.''
KNOW THE POSITION OF SLEEPING. It is Sunnah to sleep on your right side and face the Qibla. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) laid down to sleep, he would go on his right side and place his right hand under his right cheek.
Sleeping on your stomach is not permissible in Islam as this is the way Shaytaan sleeps. When Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) saw a man lying on his stomach, he said, "This is a method of lying down which Allah does not like." It has also been proven that sleeping on your stomach is not healthy and can lead to temporal dyspnea and/or neck pain.
Other than sleeping on your stomach, it is completely okay to sleep in other positions such as sleeping on either the right or left side (although it is Sunnah to sleep on the right) or on your back.
Science
This was 1400 years ago; in the modern age, it has been proven that sleeping on the right side is beneficial for circulation and puts less pressure on the heart. On the other hand, sleeping on the stomach causes strain to the spine and abdomen as most of the weight is centered around the stomach. Stress on the spine means there’s stress on other parts of the body causing you to feel numb when you wake up. The neck ends up out of alignment due to the person shifting their neck either to left or right causing further injuries.

Miswak (tooth-cleaning stick)
"The Prophet said, "It (i.e. Siwak) is a purification for the mouth and it is a way of seeking Allah's pleasures."
A group of dentists at King Saud University in the Saudi Arabia have studied the medicinal properties of the miswak, or teeth cleaning sticks, commonly used in Arab and Asian countries, and have concluded that the beneficial effects of the miswak for oral hygiene and dental health. The research identified a total of 19 natural substances found within the miswak that benefit dental health. It contains a number of natural antiseptics that kill harmful microorganisms in the mouth; tannic acids that protect the gums from disease; and aromatic oils that increase salivation. Because of its built-in antiseptics, the miswak needs no cleaning, and because its bristles are parallel to the handle rather than perpendicular, it can reach more easily between the teeth, where a conventional toothbrush often misses.

Start of Ramadan 2022 (1443 AH)
the first day of Ramadan 1443 is on Saturday, April 2, 2022, insha'Allah.
The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.

The Importance of Hajj
The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the defining rituals of Islam. Every able Muslim is required to journey to Mecca at least once in their lives’. Here are five reasons outlining the importance of the Hajj pilgrimage. 1. It is Fard (obligatory) for anyone who can afford and is physically able.
“O people! Allah had ordained fard the worship of Hajj.” (Sahih Muslim)
2. It is one of the 5 pillars of Islam
“Verily, al-Islam is founded on five (pillars): testifying the fact that there is no God but Allah, establishment of prayer, payment of Zakat, fast of Ramadan and Pilgrimage to the House.” (Sahih Muslim 16d)
3. All sins will be forgiven
“Whoever performs Hajj to this House (Ka`ba) … he will come out as sinless as a newlyborn child.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1819)
4. It is Islam’s Holiest Site As well as being the birthplace of the Prophet ﷺ, Mecca holds many Islamic historical sites, which pilgrims visit during Hajj rituals.
The Kaaba is the direction of the Qibla and the 1st Home of worship built by Ibrahim and Ismail. The Kaaba also holds the Al-Ḥajaru al-Aswad (the Black Stone), brought from Jannah. (Tirmidhi 877)
5. Mt Arafat Mt Arafat is where the Prophet ﷺ gave his farewell sermon before passing. Safa and Marwa Safa and Marwa are the two hills in which Hajar ran in between seven times in search for water for her baby son Ismail, after being tested by Allah in the desert. Therein Allah had blessed her with the miracle of the Well of Zamzam. Muslims reenact this during Hajj by walking in between the hills.
