Taipei is getting a vertical forest with 23,000 trees, shrubs and plants that clean the air and help lower city temps, and it's coming this year! The 21-story residential building's twisted shape is inspired by the double helix of DNA, and every apartment comes with its own garden! Different species of trees with better carbon absorption are planted in the park, balconies, and terraces that can absorb up to 130 tons of carbon annually! The greenery cleans the air, lowers ground-level temperatures, and also mitigates the noise from the city. As if that wasn't enough, it's also powered by wind and solar energy and recycles rainwater for watering gardens. Natural ventilation chimneys filter the air inside the building to reduce indoor temps and AC usage. It's called Tao Zhu Yin Yuan, and the building is expected to be finished in 2021! Is this what the future of sustainable housing should look like?

Bisma, a 13-year-old girl from Karachi, has developed a remarkable innovation to address a pressing issue faced by nighttime drivers. Her invention, a pair of Anti-Sleep Glasses, aims to prevent accidents caused by drowsy driving and improve road safety during late-night journeys.

The young prodigy, driven by a desire to make a difference, recognized the alarming number of accidents occurring due to drivers falling asleep behind the wheel. Determined to find a solution, she embarked on a challenging journey to create a device that could combat this hazard.

Bisma's Anti-Sleep Glasses are equipped with an innovative technology that monitors the driver's eye movements and detects signs of drowsiness. The glasses utilize built-in sensors and an intelligent algorithm to analyze patterns indicative of fatigue. When drowsiness is detected, the glasses activate an alarm system, alerting the driver and mitigating the risk of accidents.

In an interview, Bisma expressed her passion for utilizing technology to make a positive impact in society. She stated, "Pakistani students are not less than anyone else; they are capable of achieving anything. It's important to believe in ourselves and persevere, even in the face of failures."
