AIOU - Green Youth Movement Club

Successfully conducted the training sessions for the second and third badges under the AIOU - Green Youth Movement Club at Allama Iqbal Open University 🌿

The second badge training was skillfully led by Raja Amad , focusing on Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. The session included interactive activities that kept students actively engaged and helped them understand real-world climate solutions in a practical way.
We were also honored to have Mam Sofia Khalid, Chairperson of the Environmental Science Department, who shared her valuable insights and encouraged students to take meaningful action for a sustainable future.

The third badge training centered around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Youth in Climate Action, led by Elahi With valuable contributions from and Babar, students explored how their daily choices and individual actions can collectively build a greener and more sustainable world.

The key takeaway from both sessions was clear — real change starts with us. Every mindful effort, no matter how small, plays an important role in shaping a better, eco-friendly future. 🌍✨

The Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club at Allama Iqbal Open University held the Oath-Taking Ceremony of its newly selected cabinet members, marking the beginning of their journey toward environmental leadership and youth empowerment.

The ceremony was followed by the Pakistan Youth Leadership Initiative (PYLI) Training, an initiative of the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan and the British Council aimed at enhancing students’ leadership, sustainability, and digital skills.

The event was graced by Dr. Sher (Dean of Sciences), Dr. Muhammad Shaukat (Secretary GYM Club AIOU), and other esteemed faculty members.

Over the coming weeks, 500+ students from various departments will participate in department-wise training sessions under this program, contributing to capacity building, environmental awareness, and youth-led development.

Today's event was hosted by Miss Areeba Khan ( Captain of GYM club), while the training session was conducted by Raja Amad (Vice Captain of GYM Club).

Kudos to all cabinet members who took their oath today — stepping forward with dedication, vision, and a shared goal of a greener and more sustainable Pakistan.

We’re thrilled to announce that after today’s meeting, our 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗚𝗬𝗠 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱! 🎉
This 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter dedicated to 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. ✌️

But we’re not stopping there!
Right after the ceremony, we’re kicking off our 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 with 𝟱𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆.
We’ll be diving deep into 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, and the 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗬𝗠.
