On 11th September 1948, Father of Nation, Governor General, Quiad e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah died. He was a great leader who played his role to lead the Pakistan Movement and with his extraordinary leadership skills, got independence. We are all indebted to his struggle. God Bless his Soul.

On 28th August, 2004, Shaukat Aziz got elected as 17th Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He remained Prime Minister till 2007 under the the Presidency of President General Pervez Musharraf. He was a banker by profession, who was brought in by President Musharraf after the resignation of Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali. Prime Minister Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain was brought in as an interim during the time Shaukat Aziz got elected as the Member of National Assembly and subsequently the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

On 18th August, 2018, Prime Minister-elect Imran Khan took oath as the 22nd Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath in a prestigious ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by members of Parliament, Provincial Governors and Chief Ministers, former cricketers, including Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, a cricket friend of Imran Khan, the Services Chiefs, and people belonging to different walks of life. The wife of Imran Khan Bushra Bibi was also present in the ceremony. Imran Khan was given a guard of honor upon his arrival at the Prime Minister's House, and soon after that he started to discharge his duties as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

On 18th August, 2008, The President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf resigned from the Office of President of Pakistan, amidst mounting pressure and charges of impeachment. As soon as he stepped down, Chairman Senate Mian Muhammad Soomro, according to the Constituion, took over as the acting President of Pakistan until 9th September, when Asif Ali Zardari, husband of late Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, got elected as the 11th President of Pakistan.

On 17th August 2018, Former World Cup winning Captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team, and Chairman of PTI, Imran Khan got elected as the 22nd Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan breaking the two-party system. He secured 176 votes from the Parliament. He remained in power for 3 years and 8 months, till 9th April 2022, when he was removed as Prime Minister through a Vote of No-Confidence brought against him by the Opposition Parties Alliance.

On 17th August 1988, President of Pakistan Gen Zia-ul-Haq died in an airplane crash while returning from a visit to Bahawalpur along with US Officials, including the Ambassador. The same day, Chairman Senate Ghulam Ishaq Khan took over as the President and took the country towards Elections in October 1988, as a result of which Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, daughter of ex-PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto became the country's first female elected Prime Minister.

On 5th July 1977, Pakistan's first democratically elected Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was dismissed from office through a coup staged by the then Chief of the Army Staff General Zia-ul-Haq, who overthrew Mr. Bhutto's government, arrested him and imposed Martial Law in the country. The country once again came under Military rule. Later on, he trialed Mr. Bhutto and got him hanged to death in 1979. This was a Regime-Change Operation, that happened in the night of 5th July.
