دنیا کے امیر ترین شخص بل گیٹس سے کسی نے پوچھا
"کیا دنیا میں آپ سے زیادہ بھی امیر کوئی ہے؟"
بل گیٹس نے جواب دیا، ہاں، ایک شخص ہے جو مجھ سے بھی زیادہ امیر ہے۔
پھر اس نے ایک قصہ سنایا۔
یہ وہ وقت تھا جب میں امیر یا مشہور نہیں تھا۔"
نیویارک کے ہوائی اڈے پر تھا جب میں نے ایک اخبار" فروش کو دیکھا۔
میں ایک اخبار خریدنا چاہتا تھا لیکن پتہ چلا کہ میرے" پاس خریدنے کے لئے اضافی پیسے نہیں ہیں چینج وغیرہ۔ لہذا میں نے خریدنے کا خیال چھوڑ دیا اور اسے اخبار فروش کو واپس کر دیا۔
میں نے اسے رقم کھلے نہ ہونے کے بارے میں بتایا۔" بیچنے والے نے کہا، میں یہ آپ کو مفت میں دے رہا ہوں۔ ان کے اصرار پر میں نے اخبار لے لیا۔
اتفاق سے دو تین ماہ کے بعد میں اسی ہوائی اڈے پر اترا اور ایک بار پھر میرے پاس اخبار کی خریداری کے لئے کھلے پیسے دستیاب نہیں تھے۔
دکاندار نے مجھے دوبارہ اخبار پیش کیا۔ میں نے انکار کر دیا اور کہا کہ میں اسے نہیں لے سکتا کیونکہ آج پھر سے میرے پاس کھلے پیسے نہیں ہیں. اس نے کہا، آپ لے سکتے ہیں، میں اسے اپنے نفع میں سے بانٹ رہا ہوں، مجھے نقصان نہیں ہوگا۔ میں نے اخبار لے لیا۔
سال کے بعد میں مشہور ہو گیا اور لوگوں میں جانا 19 پہچانا گیا۔
اچانک مجھے وہ اخبار فروش یاد آیا۔ میں نے اسے ڈھونڈنا شروع کیا اور تقریباً ڈیڑھ ماہ کی تلاش کے بعد مجھے وہ مل گیا۔
میں نے اس سے پوچھا کیا تم مجھے جانتے ہو؟" اس نے کہا، 'ہاں، آپ بل گیٹس ہیں۔
میں نے اس سے دوبارہ پوچھا کیا آپ کو یاد ہے کہ آپ نے مجھے ایک بار مفت میں اخبار دیا تھا؟
اخبار فروش نے کہا، 'ہاں، مجھے یاد ہے۔ میں نے تمہیں دو" بار دیا تھا۔
میں نے کہا، 'میں اس مدد کو واپس کرنا چاہتا ہوں جو آپ" نے مجھے اس وقت پیش کی تھی۔
تم اپنی زندگی میں جو چاہو بتاؤ، میں اسے پورا کروں گا۔
اخبار فروش نے کہا 'جناب کیا آپ کو نہیں لگتا کہ ایسا" آپ میری مدد کو پورا نہیں کر پائیں گے؟ کرنے سے

'میں نے پوچھا، کیوں؟
اس نے کہا، 'میں نے اس وقت آپ کی مدد کی تھی جب میں ایک غریب اخبار فروش تھا اور اب جب کہ آپ دنیا کے امیر ترین آدمی بن چکے ہیں تو آپ میری مدد کرنے کی کوشش کر
رہے ہیں۔
آپ کی مدد میری مدد کے برابر کیسے ہو سکتی ہے؟
اس دن میں نے محسوس کیا کہ اخبار فروش مجھ سے زیادہ امیر ہے کیونکہ اس نے کسی کی مدد کرنے کے لیے امیر بننے کا انتظار نہیں کیا۔
لوگوں کو یہ سمجھنے کی ضرورت ہے کہ حقیقی امیر وہ ہیں جن کے پاس ڈھیروں پیسے کی بجائے امیر دل ہوں.

Keeping in mind multiple number of posts in various groups related to interview, I decided to share some information along with Suggestions for ;

General questions which will be asked(Not every question) in every department interview,
1) Prepare your Comprehensive Introduction Like My name is... S/O... Belongs from... Pass Matric and Inter examination with... % Marks from... (Instititite name). If you want to add something else then you may add, My father is a... (father profession) and we have got... Siblings etc etc
2) Why you want to join this particular programe like English, IR, Mass Com, CS, BBA Etc and why at NUML?
3) What do you want to become in future? Like Police officer, Bank Manager, Teacher etc
4) Do you think you are at right place for your dream job? (Rarely asked question)
5) Why you are switching your career from FSc to that particular field? Why such big change?
6) If you will not get admission here, what will be your 2nd option?

Few among these questions will be asked in every department interview. Now coming to specific questions which are programe related:

For BS English;
1) What is literature? And what is its role in our society!
2) Do you study english books? If Yes! Then which one you find more interesting and why?
3) Which writer books do you read most and why?
4) What is contribution of your favourite writer in Literature?
5) Tell us names of few good english poets?
6) Tell us names of few good novels!
7) Contribution of Shakepeer's, John Keats, William words Worth may also be asked. (Rare questions).

BS IR;
1) Geography of Pakistan like which state is located in North, South, East and West of Pakistan.
2) Relation of Pakistan with China, US, India, Iran and Afghanistan.
3) Kashmir and Afghanistan Issue
4) Current affairs like Diamer Bhasha Dam, 18th Ammendment, PIA condition etc
5) Constitutions of Pakistan like silent features of 1973 Constitution etc
6) Diplomatic position of Pakistan. (Rarely asked)

BS MassCommunication;
1) Favourite Anchor and his Programe name.
2) Names of 3-4 famous anchors.
3) Name of few private media channels.
4) Basics of Journalism like Rating etc.

BBA and related programes like A&F, B Com etc;
1) What is E-Commerce
2) Mathematical Formulas like (A+B)²= ?
3) Effect of Corona on Economy
4) Any knowledge of about System of Stock Exchange! (Rarely Asked)

BS Psychology;
1) What do you know about psychology?
2) Future Scope of Psychology.
3) Role of psychologists in our society.
4) Brain and Heart related questions like Conciousness, emotions, feelings, etc.

***Instructions For Interview***

All the candidates are advised to bring along the following documents on the day of interview:

*Please download your interview admit card from your admission portal.

*CNIC, SSC, HSSC, Undergraduate, Graduate, Postgraduate Certificates/Degrees/Detail Marks Certificates, Equivalence Certificates as per requirement and G*T result (NTS).

*Complete result (DMC/Degree) of terminal degree. Provisional applicants for MS/MPhil/PhD programs will not be entertained.

*Undergraduate applicants (Provisional) will bring along proof of appearing in HSSC exams i.e. roll number slip / date sheet/hope certificate.

*The university has the right to cancel admission at any stage if any anomaly is found, the sole responsibility for which will rest with the applicant.

*Without provision of original documents, the applicant will not be entertained for interview.

*For PhD Applicants (Only): Candidate will have to submit and present a Statement of Purpose 1500-2000 words (inclusive of title of research, intended field, potential research and passion for area of research) for PhD studies at the time of interview
