Pakistan's richest rare-earth deposit isn't in the mountains!
It's in your kitchen. Your old fridge. The dead AC on the roof. The motor is rusting in a scrapyard.
Every year, tonnes of neodymium, dysprosium, Terbium, samarium and other REEs inside the magnets that power our modern economy pour into Pakistan hidden inside finished products. We import them by the container. Then we bury them.
No mine. No drilling. The resource is already here, sitting in our cities, waiting.
As PI on a new RASTA 8.0 project at NUST-SCME, Dr. Muhammad Aneeq Haq is leading the work to change that, mapping the hidden flow, proving the economics, and designing the policy to build a real rare-earth recovery chain in Pakistan. In partnership with excellent researchers at KITECH/KORAM, South Korea. 🇵🇰♻️
The cities are the mine. Let's start digging.
