As an IELTS expert, I understand just how important it is for my students to have accurate writing tasks. I strive to provide detailed evaluations of their submissions - from misspelled words, incorrect use of grammar and sentence structuring, to everything in between - all so they can reach their desired band score.
Here is a recent evaluation & feedback of the writing task 1 of one of my students who is on her way to success.

Master the IELTS Writing test with these expert tips:

1. Understand the task: Make sure you fully understand what is being asked of you in the writing task. Take the time to read the instructions carefully and think about what you need to do before you start writing.

2. Plan your essay: Before you start writing, take a few minutes to plan out your essay. This will help you organize your thoughts and ensure that your writing is logical and coherent.

3. Use proper essay structure: As mentioned earlier, it's important to have a clear introduction, body, and conclusion to your essay. Make sure that each paragraph in the body of your essay has a clear topic sentence and that the ideas within each paragraph are related to that topic.

4. Use specific examples: To make your writing more convincing, it's helpful to use specific examples to support your points. This can help you illustrate your ideas and make your writing more concrete.

5. Proofread your work: Before you submit your essay, be sure to carefully proofread it for any mistakes. This will help you catch any typos or errors and ensure that your writing is as polished as possible.

Connectors, also known as transitional words and phrases, are important in IELTS writing because they help to clarify the relationships between ideas and create a coherent structure for the essay. They can be used to signal a change in the direction of the essay, to introduce additional points or ideas, or to show the relationship between different ideas. Using connectors can help to make the essay more cohesive and easier for the reader to understand.

We have gathered here few of the most commonly used connectors that can help you organize your thoughts and present them in an organized way.

However - Used to introduce a contrasting idea or to signal a change in the direction of the essay.

Furthermore - Used to add additional information to support a point or argument.

Moreover - Similar to "furthermore," this word is used to provide additional support or information.

Besides - Typically used to introduce an additional point or idea, and it can be used to show that there are multiple reasons or factors that support a particular argument.

Despite - Used to indicate that something happened or is true even though

Nonetheless - Used to indicate that something is true even though

Consequently - Used to indicate that something happened or is true as a result of something else.

Subsequently - to indicate that something happened or is true as a result of something else that occurred earlier.

In contrast - This phrase is used to introduce an opposing view or to contrast with the previously mentioned ideas.

On the Contrary - This phrase is used to present an opposing view or to contrast with the previously mentioned ideas.

The right use of connectors can help to improve the overall coherence and cohesiveness of your essay, which are both important factors in achieving a high score.

MY SUCCESS STORY

2019
When I graduated from GIKI back in 2019, the only thing on my mind was to start prepping for my IELTS exam in order that I can prepare myself to apply for masters in Europe. Subsequently, I joined an academy and started following various tips available on the web. I exhausted myself completely for one whole month and dedicated all that time to practice English language skills so I could get my desired band score of at least 8.
It was a sunny afternoon in September 2019 when I received my IELTS TRF. As I eagerly opened the envelope, my heart sank as I saw that I had only scored 7 bands. I couldn't simply believe it. I had worked so hard and was sure that I had done well on the exam, but I had fallen short of my goal. I could obviously do nothing at that point!

2020
Then unfortunately CoVid 19 went rampant out of nowhere and everything shut down - from houses, industries, international borders and my also my plan to pursue higher education abroad. Consequently, I decided to work remotely for a while before things get back to normal.

2022
By the start of 2022, I had decided to resume my plan but I found myself back to square one – my IELTS TRF had expired!! So once again, I were to take the IELTS exam but this time, I knew I did not want to waste all the time and money only for mere 7 bands.
Now I knew that I needed to come up with a new plan if I wanted to achieve my aim of scoring 8 bands. I also knew that most of the academies out there were not actually helpful – and the internet was overflowing with irrelevant pieces of IELTS advice/suggestions.

I simply had gotten skeptical of the traditional methods of studying for the IELTS, such as attending academies or relying on YouTube videos. I knew that I needed a personalized approach that would cater to my specific needs and strengths.
So, I set out to create my own strategy. I began by analyzing my past exam results and identifying my weak areas. Moreover, I assessed the IELTS exam from the perspective of the evaluator and broke down all the four module according to my own set of workable strategies. I then created a study plan that focused on personalized approach complemented regular practice exams to help me become more comfortable with the test format.

Fast forward to February 2022, when it was time to take the exam again in 2022, I felt ready and confident.
As I waited for my results, I could not help but feel a sense of anticipation. When I finally got the email, I opened it with the same eagerness as I had in 2018 and was overjoyed to see that I had finally scored 8 bands!
It was truly an accomplishment, knowing that I had achieved my goal and had done it on my own terms. I had gone from 7 bands to 8 bands and had proved that with hard work and a dedicated approach, anyone can succeed on the IELTS exam.

Following few weeks, I helped and coached a bunch of my acquaintances/friends and they also showed remarkable progress – However, I now have decided to orchestrate a plan ( via Zoom/Teams meeting) so I can help those who can't afford to waste their money and resource by registering for IELTS exam again and again.
I have created this page so I can help students like you who are struggling to achieve their desired IELTS score. If you think that you need to save up on your time and money, and still secure a good IELTS band, register yourself to the next online batch by commenting below or leaving a text/email.

How to Ace your IELTS Exam: Do's and Don'ts for Preparation

Are you gearing up for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam? It can be an intimidating process. Fortunately, there are some do’s and don’ts that you should know about when it comes to preparing for the IELTS. Read on to learn what they are and make sure you come out on top of the testing curve.

Do: Use Authentic Practice Materials
When it comes to studying for the IELTS, practice makes perfect. But not just any practice materials will do—you should look for authentic materials that mirror what you'll find on the actual test. This means using materials from official sources like Cambridge or ETS, or from sites with reliable reviews from actual users such as Magoosh or Kaplan. Not only will these materials give you an accurate feel for what your test day experience will be like, but they'll also provide invaluable tips and tricks that can help boost your score.

Don’t: Rely Solely On Memorization
It's important to remember that the IELTS is a test of your English language skills, not your memory. It's easy to get caught up in memorizing facts and figures in order to ace the reading and listening sections of the exam, but this isn't enough to truly demonstrate proficiency in English. Instead, focus on understanding concepts and principles so that you can apply them in different contexts on the exam day.

Do: Take Breaks To Refresh Your Mind
Studying for any long-term goal takes a lot of energy—and sometimes it can be hard to stay motivated! That's why taking breaks is essential for keeping your head in the game during study sessions. Make sure you're taking regular breaks throughout your study sessions so that your mind stays sharp and focused on learning material rather than wandering off into la-la land!

Don't: Stress Out Over Mistakes
We all make mistakes—it's part of life! But when it comes to studying for exams like the IELTS, it's easy to get caught up in perfectionism and become overwhelmed by setbacks or errors made along the way. Instead of letting mistakes get you down, use them as learning opportunities; remind yourself that everyone makes mistakes sometimes and treat each one as a chance to grow!

Taking an exam like the IELTS can be stressful no matter how much preparation goes into it—but with proper planning and a few key tips under your belt, you can maximize your chances of success! Remember these do’s and don’ts when prepping for your IELTS exam; use authentic materials, don’t rely solely on memorization, take breaks when needed, and don’t stress over mistakes – because everyone makes them now and then! With these tips in mind, you'll be ready to ace any section of this important test!

Good luck!
