Did you know that the Japanese scientist, Yoshinori Ohsumi, won the Nobel Prize in 2016 for his work on cells. He specifically studied a process called autophagy in which the cells eat their own parts. This is important for 'cleaning' of the cell, and these same parts can be utilized for rebuilding. Fasting induces autophagy or self eating, and it is also thought to prolong lifespan, and fight a variety of diseases.

Useful classroom phrases.

How to learn vocabulary?

To learn vocabulary effectively and efficiently,
u can:

1. Use SRS (spaced repetitive software) like Anki or Memrise

A word is shown for you to remember and it keeps on appearing again and again until you have memorized it. It reappears again in the software after a day or 2, and the time interval keeps on increasing the more correctly you answer. This prevents a person from forgetting a word as it continuously appears after a set number of days when a person does not expect it.

2. Use words in sentences

Just remembering an isolated word is inefficient and requires more effort in my opinion. By learning a word in a phrase or sentence, you get the context in which the word is used as well as remembering much better.

I believe these two tips are quite useful when applied in learning.
