We link learning to life using a child-centred, holistic approach in an environment of respect, trust and inclusion. As educators, we must try to see the world through our children's eyes, and create opportunities that stimulate their innate gift of curiosity and nurture their hunger to learn new things. Education should be social
Clay provides a tangible medium for kids to bring imaginary worlds and characters to life. The engaging texture helps kids stay on task and build patience. The feel, look, and even smell of clay engage the senses, promoting deeper cognitive understanding

November is our Urdu Literary month. At GMS, we teach our little learners poetic expression, focusing on reading Urdu poetry aloud, mainly using Iqbal’s Kalam as inspiration, and providing a supportive environment for them to write their own poems. The goal is to make the process fun and expressive.
Our event ‘nazm meri jaib mein’ (poem in my pocket) gives children an opportunity to memorize short, simple verses/poems and recite them to an audience comprising their peers. This helps build confidence, memory skills, and an understanding of how rhythm and repetition work.

Life skills help children to think critically and apply classroom knowledge to solve real-world problems. Children, hence, gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.
A trip to the grocery store was arranged for our Grade One. The main aim was to provide them with experiential learning as to how to shop within a budget, reinforcing the math concepts they are learning in class.

The visit to the local post office proved to be really exciting for our children as they were guided and led through the entire process of writing their postcards/letters and addresses, to putting a stamp on them and then posting them. The staff at the post office was extremely kind to demonstrate how the system works and answered their queries with patience. The children remained curious and intrigued throughout.
We, at GMS, try to give them a hands on experience to support their learning wherever possible. The children have been learning about their ‘neighbourhood’ and ‘environment’, and the visit proved to be a great experience in the context.
Moreover, they learnt about showing respect for different professions, and that there are people always at our service even though we do not get to see them.
🙌
COLLABORATIVE ART PROJECTS at GMS teach our precious children to work together by developing communication, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. These activities foster teamwork and social-emotional growth, as children learn to listen to others’ ideas, compromise, and respect different perspectives to achieve a common goal.
By combining their unique ideas, children can create a final piece that reflects the whole group, boosting their self-confidence and encouraging new ways of thinking.
Collaborative art helps instill a sense of cooperation rather than competition, fostering a more inclusive and comfortable learning environment.
All the materials used in this art project to create a ‘City Scene’ are recycled, creating environmental awareness.

Fall Fest Learning Activities: At GMS we link learning to life, and thus, believe in ‘hands on’ learning giving our children an opportunity to practise essential life skills. Our learning activities ensure development of fine and gross motor skills alongside working with focus and patience. Our school events provide children with an ideal opportunity to learn and work with different age groups in a safe homelike environment, resulting in better confidence and social skills.
Little hands need to explore, discover and made strong before they are ready to hold a pencil. A simple plantation activity starting from painting one’s own pot to growing a flowering plant is great for kids to learn about the environment. Also a fun way for kids to practice fine motor skills. Doing tasks that require small movements and coordination of the hands, fingers, and wrists exercise the small muscles and joints and help them learn to work together to complete a task
Kitchen activities teach children a wide range of skills, including fine motor skills from tasks like scooping, stirring, mixing, measuring etc
Children also learn about math and science concepts when they follow recipes. Such activities also foster independence and confidence as children master new tasks, and it turns out to be a valuable opportunity for socialising with peers and for healthy communication.
Once again, GMS is thankful to for her time and guidance and for adding more joy to the lives of our little ones. This time it was all about PASTA MIXING and learning about the importance of nutritious meals and developing taste.
The Early Years Program at GMS provides our little ones with meaningful learning experiences. Before they can get to gripping a pencil, they are indulged in different activities that enable building their fine motor skills. Finger painting is one of them. It provides a tactile experience that strengthens muscles and builds coordination.
