Renowned writer, scholar Abdul Hameed Sindhi laid to rest in Naushahro Feroze on Friday January 3.
Born on 12 October 1939, he was a legend short story Writer of Pakistan, Scholar, Teacher, Administrator and founder of Bazm-e-Rooh Rehan who passed away due to heart attack at the age of 81 years in Hyderabad early in the morning of Thursday 2 January.
He did M.A Economics from Sindh University Jamshoro and has worked as Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Tandojam and Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. He has also served as the Chairman of Sindh Text Book Board Jamshoro, Chairman of the Sindhi Language Authority Hyderabad and Principal of Public School Hyderabad.
He was the author of 11 books and has compiled 10 books in his life. He has received several awards including Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 1990 and Aizaz-e Fazeelat in 1993 from Government of Pakistan, Writer's Guild award 1981, Shah Latif and others in his life.

We condole the sad demise of our beloved teacher, ex-Principal Abdul Hameed Sindhi, this is an irreparable loss, may his soul rest in eternal peace.
