Widely known as one of the greatest Muslims conquerors of all time, he was the first Sultan of Egypt and under his rule, many regions were conquered such as Egypt, Syria, the Jazira (Upper Mesopotamia) the Hejaz (western Arabia), Yemen, parts of western North Africa, and Nubia.

Overheard a conversation of my mother with a lady and it got me wondering.

Ammi: aray itne dino ke baad mili ho. Ghar bhi aaya karo na aksar, itna qareeb to rehte hain.

Lady: hehehe. kaise aaun yeh (pointing towards her husband) toh mujhe meri mummy ke ghar bhi kabhi kabhi hi leke jaate hain.

Ammi: (speaking to him) hain? Kyun bhai? Kyun nahi leke jaate ussko ammi ke ghar? Week main ek do dafa toh lejaya karo.

The guy: (giving the weird smile) humne yeh "chonchlay" nahi paale.

Ammi: (confused and cringing out) ek beti ko shaadi ke baad usske ghar lejana ammi se milwaana "chonchlay" hote hain?

The guy: (embarrassed) hehe.

Conversation ends. This kind of mentality and mindset is worrisome, I believe. What do you think?
