DTTI Sindh Holds Strategic Meeting with Teachers Training Assessment Firm to Strengthen Teacher Education Systems
The Directorate of Teachers Training Institutions (DTTI), Sindh, Hyderabad, convened a high-level Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Teachers Training Assessment Firm (TTAF) on 18th November 2025. The meeting was held as part of an ongoing study aimed at developing a long-term, sustainable direction for pre-service and in-service teacher education across Sindh.
The session was chaired by Mr. Muhammad Umer Farooque Gabol, Deputy Director, and attended by senior faculty members and administrative officials including Mr. Abdul Wahid Samoon (Principal GECE Men Hyderabad), Syed Hussain Ali Shah (Deputy Director, DETRC Hyderabad), Mr. Muhammad Athar Raza Khan (Assistant Professor, GECE Men Hyderabad), Mr. Zohaib Haseeb, Mr. Shoaib Riaz, Mr. Sarwardin Jamali (Assistant Professors), and Mr. Anwar Saeed Qureshi (Technical Assistant).
The TTAF delegation was led by Dr. Nasir Jaleel, Team Leader, accompanied by Mr. Aamir Latif Siddiqui, Deputy Team Leader.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in constructive discussion on key thematic areas essential for strengthening teacher development in the province. The agenda focused on:
Future training plans and strategic directions
Development of a modular and competency-based training framework
Formulation of a comprehensive annual training calendar
Strengthening of Master Trainers and institutional capacity
Post-training teacher support and follow-up mechanisms
Standardized and research-based training resource development
Integration of inclusive education and special needs training
Long-term sustainability and vision for teacher development
The Directorate reaffirmed and reassured its resolve and commitment to enhance the quality of pre-service and in-service training, ensuring alignment with provincial reforms and national standards. The TTAF team appreciated DTTI’s contributions and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to improve learning outcomes across Sindh.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to continue joint efforts toward modernizing and strengthening teacher education systems for a more effective and inclusive teaching workforce.
