‼️Official Response by Pakistan Psychological Association-PPA‼️📜

The Pakistan Psychological Association expresses serious concern regarding misleading references concerning psychologists in the PMDC letter dated 21st April 2026.

PPA respectfully clarifies that psychologists are trained professionals working within a distinct academic, ethical, and professional domain. Their services include psychological assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, behavior intervention, consultation, mental health support, and related applied psychological services.

PPA calls for withdrawal or revision of the impugned PMDC letter, issuance of an official clarification, and consultation with the Pakistan Psychological Association before any future communication concerning psychologists or the wider mental health workforce.

The Association remains committed to public health, ethical practice, interprofessional collaboration, and the protection of the lawful and professional standing of psychologists in Pakistan.
