This image was taken by the Hayabusa 2 spacecraft's MINERVA-II-b rover ("OWL") as it BOUNCED across the surface of the asteroid 162173 Ryugu on 23 September 2018. Each bounce lasted about 15 minutes, in which time the tiny rover covered ~15 m. Credit: JAXA

Good morning, Earthlings! How about that to start the day!? This is the latest image of Io from Juno on the last flyby, as the spacecraft passed within 12,000 kilometers above the active volcanic world. Wow...I wish you all a fantastic day!

Halloween is coming up...and here it is! This is probably one of my favorite nebulae...The Cosmic Bat Nebula. This one does not take much imagination to visualize. It's remarkable...Seems to be "flying" in our direction too. Alright, enjoy the pareidolia! Image Credit & Copyright: Mark Hanson and Mike Selby; Caption: Michelle Thaller (NASA's GSFC)
