Following orders of the Sindh and Islamabad High Courts,
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has asked all the public and private medical colleges to stop the admission process till the courts decide the matter.
These directives apply to entire Pakistan.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has put a temporary hold on the admission process for medical and dental colleges in Sindh, including DUHS for MDCAT 2024. An inquiry committee has been appointed to investigate the issue and is expected to submit its report within 15 days. Once the report is submitted, the next hearing will take place, also after 15 days. Admissions will remain suspended until further notice from the court.
