Independence Day Celebration at Government Khursheed Begum Girls Degree College

Government Khursheed Begum Girls Degree College celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The Chief Guest, MPA Nasir Qureshi, attended the ceremony along with his team and was warmly welcomed by the Principal, faculty members, and Scout students.

The ceremony began with flag hoisting and the National Anthem, followed by Quranic recitation and Naat. Students presented national songs, speeches, and a patriotic tableau by the Scout students, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The celebration concluded with cake cutting and prayers for Pakistan’s peace, prosperity, and progress.

Today, on 13 August 2026, various activities were organized at Government Khursheed Begum Girls Degree College as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

In the first phase of the program, a national song competition was held under the supervision of Zoology Dep in which the students who secured top positions were awarded first, second, and third position certificates.
On this occasion, the Girl Scouts also presented a spectacular tableau on Pakistan. The enthusiastic and spirited performances of the students added great charm to the event. This beautiful tableau was prepared under the supervision of the Scout's focal person, Miss Kulsoom Samo.
In the third phase of the program, poster, painting, and calligraphy competitions were held, which were excellently organized by Ms. Sobiaa Khaskheli. To encourage the participating students, they were also awarded certificates.
At the end, the college Principal Shehnaz Memon, appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and highly praised all the program.🇵🇰🇵🇰

Independence Day Seminar Held at Khursheed Begum Government Girls Degree College

A seminar was organized today at Khursheed Begum Government Girls Degree College in connection with Pakistan's Independence Day (14th August) under the theme "The Glory of the Heroes of Pakistan." The event was held under the supervision of Principal Prof. Shahnaz Memon and organised and prepared by Ms. kalsoom Samo and Ms. Sidra Baig.

The seminar highlighted the sacrifices, courage, and achievements of Pakistan's national heroes. Faculty members and students actively participated, expressing their patriotism and paying tribute to the individuals who contributed to the nation's freedom and progress.
