What is the concept of Tauheed in Islam. Describe it's importance in the Holy Quran

Definition:
In Islam, Tauheed means the oneness of Allah Who is the creator and sustainer of the universe. Tauheed is the essence of Islam on which the entire philosophy of Islam is based on. Further, it is associated with the attributes of Allah. There are three kinds of Tauheed in Islam, which are unity of being, the unity of attributes and unity of single. It also explains that Allah is alone Who neither begets nor is begotten. He neither eats nor drinks. He is beyond the space and time concept.

Importance of Tauheed in the Holy Quran:
" I am your Lord and worship only me and keep up prayers for my remembrance." Quran

This verse of the divine book is the evident that Allah is alone and it is obligatory upon the Muslims to worship Him alone so that He remembers the worshipper.

There is another verse in the Quran: " He, Allah, is alone. He neither begets nor is begotten......" ". There is no god except Allah. He is the creator and master of the universe.

The principality of utility is the heart of the Bentham's political philosophy, in which he propounds that every action, be it private or public, is justiable if its consequences produce the greatest happiness of the greatest number and the least pain of the greatest number. To guage the consequences of any action other than this principle such as the principle of ascetism or the principle of theology is senseless and useless. Thus the legislator must understand this principle while framing of law for the public.

Politics draws its force and strength from power, not from ethical considerations. If power is divorced from politics, then politics becomes mere like a subject. (The subject is a man who played a role of subject in Munna Bhai MBBS.)

In the previous writings as we know that Sophie received the mysterious letters contained some philosophical questions, so she enrolled herself in the Philosophy course to know the answer of the fundamental questions.
The Myths is the third chapter of book Sophie’s World in which the writer explains the ‘’Mythological World Picture’’ and reasons why the philosophers rejected the mythological explanations of the life. The various religions gave almost all answers of the philosophical questions in the form of myths. A myth is a story based on gods explaining the fundamental questions of life. Those explanations had spread across the world and dominated their influence for the centuries.
The philosophers, on the other hand, rejected the mythological explanations and considered them as irrational, illogical and unsound. Prior to learning, why the philosophers unaccepted the explanations, and what was their line of thought about the philosophical questions, presenting the brief sketch of the myths is an imperative task.
Here I am writing the two popular myths, the Nordic myth and the Greek myth. Let’s first deal with Nordic myth. Before coming of Christianity in Norway, people believed that the god Thor, having a hammer with unlimited power causes lightning and thunder, is responsible for rain on the earth. In order to make the lands fertile rain was the lifeline for the Viking farmers. When the hammer causes lightning and thunders, it causes rain. Resultantly, the land becomes fertile. The Vikings, therefore, worshipped Thor as a god of fertility.
Another reason which made the Thor one of the most important of the Norse gods is being as the protector the entire world. It was the belief of the Vikings that there is always a constant threat to their home named Asgard known as the domain of the gods. Opposed to this was the kingdom of Utgard- the domain of the evil giants who left no stone unturned to destroy the Asgard. If the giants abducted the Freyja, the goddess of fertility, nothing would grow in the fields and the women would no longer have children. Thus, in this battle between the good and evil forces Thor was the most important god who could stop the evils monsters or the forces of chaos.
Moving forward and making another case of mythology world picture of the Nordic Mythology, what options left for the Vikings if god could not stop the approaching huge catastrophes such plagues and other natural disastrous, so they developed the concept of performing of various religious ceremonies and rites. Among other religious rites in the Norse times, offering occupies the central value. To strengthen the power of gods to fight against the evil forces the Vikings made sacrifices of animals or even sometimes of humans.
Further, there also existed a Mythological Picture in Greece; there were also various gods in Greece such as Zeus and Apollo, Hera and Athene, Dionysus and Asclepius, Heracles and Hephaestus etc. Homer and Hesiod wrote much of the Greek mythology, and then myths were available in the written form. The earliest Greek Philosophers criticized the mythology of Homer, and described myths nothing but human notions. The philosopher Xenophanes expounded that men have created gods in their imaginations because the gods have same physical features as humans have.
Thanks to the development of the City-States in Greece which transformed the mythological mode of thought to one based on experience and reason. In the city-states, mostly the manual work was performed by the slaves, and citizens devoted their attention and energy to the political and cultural discussions. The citizens could ask the questions and did discussion on the different topics such as politics, culture, civilization, history without referring to the ancient myths. It clearly shows that their line of thought changed from the mythological explanations to the reason and experience. Their view and attitude to the philosophical questions were directed towards the natural process rather than supernatural explanations.
Now the questions arise whether the mythological explanations of the philosophical questions were totally useless or useful. One cannot totally discard them or fully accept them because as Hegel said the ongoing processes in the history is synthesis of thesis and antithesis which result in new synthesis. In the upcoming composition we will discuss the Philosophers.

Now I am entering into the second chapter of the Book- Sophie’s World- titled The Top Hat.
This chapter has an interesting beginning which is “the only thing we require to be good philosophers is the faculty of wonder”. Congratulations to those who are reading this write up that Sophie has enrolled herself in the course of Philosophy to know the convincing answers of the enigmatic questions. In this chapter there are just some introductory remarks about Philosophy. Before making a deep dive in the course taken by Sophie, first, to define philosophy is very important so that the readers can get the concept what philosophy is. According to Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, the word philosophy consists of two words: ‘’Philo means love’’ and ‘’Sophia means wisdom’’. Thus to love the wisdom is known as Philosophy. Philosophy is the systemized study of general and fundamental questions such as those about existence, reason, knowledge, values, mind and language.
One must have borne one point in the mind that philosophy is synthesis of subjective and objective views. If you ask me my personal opinion I would say Philosophy is more subjective than objective. What one philosopher observes and thinks about the fundamental questions does not mean other has the same point of view. Reading philosophy of different philosophers will definitely enable us to furnish our views about the life.
Further, science would also help us to understand the answer of those questions. For instance, the dark spots on the moon were once a mystery. Presently, with the help of powerful telescopes, science has unfolded the mystery about the dark spots.

• Here is the pith of the first chapter of the Sophie’s Book.
• The Garden of Eden is the first chapter of the book named “Sophie’s World’’ written by Norwegian writer Jostein Gaarder. In this chapter there is the girl, named Sophie Amundsen, who receives mysteries letters, containing the Fundamental Questions: Who are you? Is there life after death? Where did the word come from? where did space come from?
• As she was never encountered by such questions in her life, so she had become curious to know the answers of the aforementioned questions. But the question is who will guide her in finding the answers of these questions. Somehow, she already learnt at school that it is God Who has created the world. She felt relaxed that what she had learnt in school is the most convincing and comprehensible solution to these questions. However, at the same time, she contemplated and posed the question who has created God. Had he created himself from nothing? Is it possible that something can be created from nothing? For her it was impossible to do that. To cut the story short, she was puzzled from the questions the letter contained.
• In order to resolve the questions, she would get admission in Philosophy, and we will learn what philosophers offer her regarding the questions.
• One thing which is the noteworthy is that she has started thinking and asking questions which will lead her in finding the convincing answers of those questions.
