Applications are invited for multiple positions under the Directorate General of Science & Technology DGST funded research project, “Development of Artificial Skin and Tissue Substitutes Based on 3D Bioprinted Advanced Materials.” The selected professionals will contribute to the establishment of a GMP-compliant medical device manufacturing facility at BioPrintX Pvt. Ltd., located at the Technology Park, PAF-IAST, Haripur.

Director – Quality Control (QC) & Microbiology
QA Manager
Finance & HR Operations Manager
Water Treatment Plant & Sterilization Operator

Candidates with relevant industrial experience in GMP, ISO 13485, medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, or regulatory affairs are encouraged to apply.

University of Agriculture Faisalabad Delegation Visits Pak Austria Fachhochschule

PAF-IAST Haripur was pleased to host the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) delegation, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, for a knowledge-exchange visit focused on strengthening institutional collaboration, innovation, and academia-industry linkages.

The visit provided an opportunity to share insights into PAF-IAST’s Special Technology Zone ecosystem, including its operational framework, governance structure, technology incubation model, and applied research approach.

The session was attended by Rector PAF-IAST Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mujahid, Project Director Dr. Nasser Ali Khan, Deans Dr. Sharifullah Khan, Dr. Sadaf Zaidi and Dr. Arshad Hussain, Advisor Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, Manager FITP Dr. Haider Khalil, and Manager ORIC Dr. Rana Asad, along with the visiting UAF delegation and team members from the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA).

The interaction opened further avenues for collaboration in Agri-Tech innovation, startup development, research commercialization, and talent development for Pakistan’s innovation-driven economy.

Pak Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) was pleased to welcome Dr. Javaid Laghari, Convenor, HEC Task Force on Business Innovation Centres, and Mr. Muhammad Murtaza Noor, National Coordinator, IUCPSS, during their official visit to the institute.

The visiting dignitaries conducted a comprehensive review of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Business Incubation Centre (BIC), and Faculty & Industry Training Programme (FITP). They expressed strong satisfaction over the remarkable progress and achievements made by ORIC within a short span of five years, reflecting PAF-IAST’s growing contribution to research-driven innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia collaboration in Pakistan.

The visit also highlighted the institute’s continued efforts to strengthen its innovation ecosystem, support startups, promote commercialization, and create meaningful opportunities for students, researchers, and industry partners.
