Lojain Syed from batch 2021 of MS Embedded Systems and IoTs holds a full-time PhD position in the Wireless Communications & Networking Laboratory (WiCON) Lab at the University of Arizona USA, where she is currently working on energy-efficient architectures for NextG wireless systems.

Meet Engr. Laraib Raheem, our BE Chemical Engineering graduate year 2025

Laraib is currently working as a Quality Control Engineer at Al Jassar Engineering (Pvt.) Limited, where she is gaining valuable professional experience in industrial fabrication and engineering projects.
In her current role, she is involved in quality inspections, documentation, and coordination for industrial fabrication, steel structures, storage tanks, and engineering projects. She also supports procurement activities, including vendor coordination, material sourcing, and RFQ preparation.

PAF-IAST signed separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with three premier corporate organizations in a major step toward bridging the industry-academia gap.

The MoUs were signed with:

• Lifestream Private Limited, led by CEO Mr. Syed Zahid Wasi
• CREECO Private Limited, led by CEO Mr. Malik Muhammad Siddique
• KEEZ Consultancy (SMC) Private Limited, led by CEO Dr. Syed Fakhr-e-Alam

The ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at PAF-IAST, Mang, Haripur - KPK.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mujahid, Rector PAF-IAST, welcomed the guests and shared a detailed overview of the university’s unique philosophy, vision, and performance.

He was joined by the university's Deans, Chairmen, and Manager ORIC, including Dr. Arshad Hussain, Dr. Sharifullah Khan, Dr. Sadaf Zaidi, Dr. Aftab Akram, Dr. Zahid Ullah Khan, Dr. Asad Khan, and Dr. Abdul Mateen.

During the ceremony, Mr. Malik Muhammad Siddique, CEO CREECO, highlighted his company’s corporate vision and ongoing impact-driven projects.

Similarly, Mr. Syed Zahid Wasi, CEO Lifestream, reiterated Lifestream's strong commitment to industry-academia linkages. He emphasized the use of innovative approaches to solve societal problems.

The ceremony was attended by corporate leaders and dignitaries from various sectors, including Mr. Kamran Khan Ghouri, CEO SoftSeek International and Co-Founder Youth Chamber of Commerce Pakistan; Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan Magray, CEO Eco Smart; Dr. Hassan Rasool, CEO Max Foster Global; and Dr. Babar Hilal, Associate Professor UoB, along with other respected corporate professionals.

To mark the occasion, the university leadership presented commemorative souvenirs to the visiting CEOs and guests.

The event concluded with a comprehensive tour of PAF-IAST’s state-of-the-art facilities and a networking lunch, opening doors for future collaborative projects.

LifeStream Services Creeco Hydrogen Pakistan

A milestone at Pak Austria Fachhochschule, Mirpur Campus. Today marked the formal launch of the EDSIY-KP Graphic Design & UI/UX Course under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board - KPITB initiative.
The session opened with registration and an orientation led by Mr. Sami ur Rehman, covering the course structure, objectives, and learning outcomes. A total of 50 students from Government Girls Degree College Kot Najibullah were onboarded before moving into the computer lab for their first hands-on activities, marking the formal start of their training journey.
Regular weekly classes for the cohort will continue at the Mirpur Campus from Monday to Thursday. Students from four other partner colleges will also be joining the programme at the campus: GPGC Haripur (Boys & Girls), GPGC (W) Haripur (Girls), GDC Khanpur (Boys), and GGDC Khanpur Haripur (FEF) (Girls).
