We are pleased to announce an insightful talk by our international guest speaker, Dr. Nilanthy Balakrishnan, Senior Lecturer in Physics at Keele University, UK.
Talk Title:
“Potential and Limitations of 2D Materials for Energy Storage Technology”
Dr. Balakrishnan’s research programme focuses on the discovery, synthesis, characterisation and application of functional materials to address key challenges in the global transition towards sustainable energy systems.
She also leads the Bala Materials Lab, a multidisciplinary research group dedicated to Advanced Materials for Energy Technology. Her work brings together materials science, solid-state physics, nanotechnology and energy engineering to develop innovative materials and devices for improved energy conversion, storage and efficiency.

Funded PhD Research Position - Fall 2026 Admissions
Applications are now open for a funded PhD position in Materials Engineering position at the Pak Austria Fachhochschule (PAF-IAST) under the HEC-NRPU Research Project No. 86828 on Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell (SOEC) Technology for Green Hydrogen and Syngas Production.
✅ Monthly Stipend: Rs. 80,000/month
✅ Eligibility: University Graduate Test or HAT (Minimum 60%)
✅ Graduates from relevant Engineering, Basic Sciences, Applied Sciences, and related disciplines are welcome to apply.
