Happy World Blood Donor Day ! Be a hero by donating blood regularly and saving lives!
The purpose of celebrating the day is to raise awareness of the need for safe blood transfusions and thanking blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of blood. The theme of this year’s campaign is "Thank you for saving my life".
Pakistan is suffering from an annual shortage of 1,400,000 units of blood (approximately) against a demand of around 3,200,000 units to save the lives of thousands of people.
One blood donation can save the lives of up to three people. So, what are you waiting for? Roll up your sleeves and save a life!
