Heroes of Hafizabad:

Last night, I was visiting Post Office Road in Hafizabad. There, I met a group of young boys. I was truly amazed and proud to see that they were my former students.

They were pasting reflectors on recently installed spike barriers along the road. I am glad the government has decided to make the road one-way due to the heavy traffic, but it has also been causing many tyre-bursting incidents in recent days.

In response, these youngsters stepped forward. Instead of waiting for others, they took the initiative to add reflectors and improve road safety. The government, perhaps, missed the fine details—such as installing reflectors and proper warning signage—around these barriers.

However, I am especially pleased that our boys are becoming so well-informed and responsible. They didn’t just recognize the problem; they worked to help prevent future incidents.

With all due respect to all the government authorities of Hafizabad. I just wish to bring it under the consideration of the DCO Hafizabad office. I am a nature lover but unfortunately riksha drivers, motorcycle riders and pedestrians do not have the necessary awareness or street education. They jump on the road literally from the opposite side without any prior searching of the road. And, this results in messy accidents. This is becoming just another routine. These huge plants are becoming life threatening every other day. I don't wish for them to be removed entirely. But at least chop them off on the intersections and U-turns or else you can diminish their heights. Kindly look into this issue. A humble request to the authorities. Will be much obliged.
