گورنمنٹ انسٹیٹیوٹ آف لیدر ٹیکنالوجی، گوجرانوالہ میں یومِ آزادی پاکستان جوش و جذبے اور ملی یکجہتی کے ساتھ منایا گیا۔

Observance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir – 5 August 2026

The Government Institute of Leather Technology, Gujranwala observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir on 5 August 2026 with great respect and patriotic spirit.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran (Tilawat), followed by a Naat-e-Rasool (ﷺ). Students and faculty members participated in the event with enthusiasm. A speech was delivered highlighting the significance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, emphasizing solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and expressing hope for peace, justice, and the protection of their fundamental rights.

The participants also sang the National Anthem of Pakistan, followed by the hoisting of the national flag. To conclude the observance, a solidarity rally was organized within the institute premises. Faculty members, staff, and students took part in the rally, carrying national flags and expressing unity and support for the people of Kashmir.

The event concluded with prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Kashmir and Pakistan.

Road Safety Seminar
A Road Safety Seminar on the theme “Traffic Management Challenges & Way Forward” was organized by the National Highways & Motorway Police, North-III Gujranwala, at GILT Gujranwala on 18th June 2026.
The seminar was graced by Sector Commander Mr. Atif as the Chief Guest. Officers from the Motorway Police delivered informative sessions on road safety, traffic rules, responsible driving behaviour, and the challenges faced in effective traffic management. The speakers emphasized the importance of following traffic laws, maintaining discipline on roads, and adopting safe driving practices to reduce road accidents.
Students and staff members actively participated in the session and gained valuable knowledge regarding road safety awareness. The management of GILT Gujranwala appreciated the efforts of the National Highways & Motorway Police for conducting this beneficial awareness activity and expressed the desire for continued collaboration in future road safety initiatives.
