Grade 8 learners explored how adding components in a series circuit affects the brightness of a bulb by designing and modifying their own simple circuits.
Working in small groups, learners built their circuits step by step, adding components and observing changes. They recorded their findings, compared results, and discussed emerging patterns. Most observed that as more components were added, the bulb became dimmer, leading them to conclude that increasing components increases resistance and affects current flow in the circuit.
