عبد اللہ بن الامام احمد بن حنبل رحمہ اللہ فرماتے ہیں: میرے والد امام احمد بن حنبل رحمہ اللہ سجدوں میں یہ دعا کیا کرتے تھے:
*اللهم كما صُنتُ وجهي عن السجود لغيرك، فصُنْ وجهي عن المسألة لغيرك*
”اے اللہ! جیسے میں نے اپنے چہرے کو آپ کے علاوہ ہر شے کے سامنے سجدے سے محفوظ رکھا ہے، ویسے ہی آپ میرے چہرے کو بھی اپنے علاوہ کسی سے سوال کرنے سے محفوظ رکھیے گا۔“
