An awareness session was conducted today on the topic “Responsible Use of Social Media, Cyber Safety, and Awareness about Mis-information.” The session was facilitated by Mr. Irfan Ali (EST IT Expert).
The resource person highlighted the importance of using social media responsibly, emphasizing ethical behavior, privacy protection, and the long-term impact of digital footprints. He also guided participants on cyber safety practices, including safeguarding personal information, recognizing online threats, and avoiding cybercrimes.
A significant part of the session focused on identifying and combating misinformation. Students and teachers were trained to verify sources, think critically before sharing content, and understand the consequences of spreading false information.
The session was attended by students, youth, and teachers, who actively participated and showed keen interest. Overall, the session proved to be informative and beneficial in promoting safe and responsible digital behavior.

Today on 1st November 2025, The District Administration Nagar organized a central program to commemorate the 78th Independence Day of Gilgit-Baltistan. The event was hosted by Boys Model High School Ghulmat Nagar, which made excellent arrangements for the celebration.
The Deputy Commissioner Nagar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the Deputy Director Education, Heads of Departments (HODs), and Numberdars of the district also attended the ceremony, adding great value and dignity to the event.
Students of Boys Model High School Ghulmat showcased their talents through a variety of performances, including speeches, national songs, tableaus, and other cultural and patriotic activities. Their enthusiasm and dedication reflected the true spirit of independence and patriotism.
During the program, the Deputy Director Education Nagar addressed the audience and highlighted the sacrifices and contributions of the heroes of Gilgit-Baltistan’s independence, emphasizing their courage and determination in securing freedom.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner Nagar paid heartfelt tribute to the heroes of independence and underscored the significance of preserving and valuing freedom. He encouraged the youth to follow the footsteps of their forefathers and contribute positively to the development of the region.
At the conclusion of the event, the Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Director Education Nagar distributed cash prizes and certificates among the participants to recognize their outstanding performances and participation.
The program ended on a note of patriotism and unity, with all participants reaffirming their commitment to the progress and prosperity of Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan.
