🎓 *Strengthening Teacher Education in Gilgit-Baltistan*

Under the direction of the *Secretary, and Director General School Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan*, the *Colleges of Education* across the region have been instructed to introduce two key specializations under the *revised 4-year B.Ed programs*:

1️⃣ *B.Ed (Early Childhood Care and Education - ECCE)*
2️⃣ *B.Ed (Science Education)*

This strategic decision stems from the growing need to produce *qualified pre-service teachers* equipped with the *professional competencies and pedagogical skills* necessary for teaching at the *primary, middle, and high school levels* in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The inclusion of these specializations responds to two critical priorities:

- The urgent requirement for trained educators in *Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)* to strengthen foundational learning in the early years.
- The consistent demand for *science teachers* in middle and high schools to enhance STEM education outcomes in the region.
These specializations have also been incorporated into the *draft SRO* submitted to the *Services Department*, aiming to formally align teacher education programs with future *recruitment policies*.

The *College of Education for Women, Skardu* is proud to implement this vision and contribute to the professional development of teachers who will serve the educational needs of Gilgit-Baltistan with skill commitment. The School Education Department GB proudly congratulates the 26 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 recommended by FPSC for appointment as 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒔 (𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒆) – 𝑩𝑷𝑺-18 👨‍🏫.

This marks a major milestone in strengthening school leadership across the region. These officers will play a key role in:

✅ Improving student outcomes
