The reason is this: exactly one year ago today, Indian forces crossed into Pakistani territory. The Pakistan Army responded firmly, defended the border, and caused heavy damage to the attackers.

Across Pakistan, people are observing this day to stand with the Army and to honor the martyrs who gave their lives. At our school, both students and teachers took part with real spirit — speeches, pledges, and tributes to show respect for the soldiers and to reaffirm our commitment to the country.

So it wasn’t just a formality. It was a way for the school to remember the sacrifice, thank the Army, and say we stand together as one nation.

Similar to the rest of Gilgit-Baltistan, the deworming campaign is being conducted with great enthusiasm in District Nagar. The primary objective of this initiative is to protect school-going children from intestinal worm infections and to promote their overall health, enabling them to continue their educational journey effectively.
A significant number of school children suffer from physical weakness and malnutrition due to intestinal worms. This campaign is playing an important role in improving both their physical and mental well-being.
The initiative has been widely appreciated across Gilgit-Baltistan by government and private school administrations, as well as by parents. The Government of Pakistan, particularly the Gilgit-Baltistan Government, is being acknowledged for undertaking this commendable initiative.

The campaign is scheduled to conclude on April 28. Presented below are selected pictorial glimpses of the deworming activities carried out in various schools of Tehsil Nagar, including Hopper, Hisper,and Nagar.

Today, a fruitful session on the topic of “Responsible Use of Social Media and Cybersecurity” was held at Government Boys High School Nagar Khas, in which teachers and students participated actively.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is calling for renewed commitment to science-led action, urging governments, scientists, and communities to work together to protect health and build a healthier future. The campaign also highlights the need to address health misinformation and promote evidence-based decision-making. WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasizes that science is a powerful tool for protecting and improving health. This World Health Day, let's stand with science and work towards a healthier, more resilient world.
World Health Day was observed at Government Boys High School Nagar, with enthusiastic participation from students and staff. Principal highlighted the significance of health in education, stating that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind. He further stated that science has greatly contributed to the health of humans, animals, and plants, highlighting the significance of science.
The event culminated in a lively awareness campaign, with students chanting slogans and promoting the importance of health..
