مطلب: اے اقبال برصغیر میں جو تعلیمی نظام مسلط کیا گیا ہے وہاں خود شناسی اور خود معرفتی کے علم کی یا خودی کی بات نہ کر۔ کیونکہ ان تعلیمی اداروں کے طالب علم مصنوعی تہذیب و تمدن کی بنا پر اپنی شناخت سے بے گانہ ہو چکے ہیں-

*پوشیدہ رہیں باز کے احوال و مقامات*

مطلب: اقبال کہتے ہیں کہ تعلیم اور تہذیب و تمدن نے درس گاہوں میں پڑھنے والوں کو شاہبازوں سے کمزور چڑیاں بنا کر رکھ دیا ہے ۔ اس لیے ان کے سامنے بازوں کی کیفیات اور مرتبوں کی بات کرنا بے سود ہے ۔ وہ اسے نہ سمجھیں گے اور نہ اس پر عمل کریں گے ۔


*آزاد کی اک آن ہے محکوم کا اک سال*
*کس درجہ گراں سیر ہیں محکوم کے اوقات*

مطلب: اس شعر میں آزاد اور محکوم کی زندگی کا مقابلہ کیا ہے اور کہا ہے کہ آزاد شخص کا ایک لمحہ محکوم کے ایک سال کے برابر ہوتا ہے۔ آزاد ایک لمحہ میں وہ کچھ کر گزرتا ہے جو غلام سالوں میں نہیں کر پاتا ۔

*آزاد کا ہر لحظہ پیامِ ابدیت*
*محکوم کا ہر لحظہ نئی مرگِ مفاجات*

مطلب: آزاد کے ایک ایک لمحہ میں ہمیشگی کا پیغام ہوتا ہےاور غلام کا ایک ایک لمحہ ناگہانی موت ہوتا ہے ۔ مراد یہ ہے کہ آزاد قوم کا آزاد شخص ایک ایک لمحہ میں وہ عملی اور یادگار کام کرتا ہے جس سے وہ خود بھی بنتا ہے اور اس کی قوم بھی بنتی ہے ۔ لیکن غلام قوم کا شخص غلامی کی وجہ سے ذلت کی زندگی بسر کرتا ہے ۔

*آزاد کا اندیشہ حقیقت سے منور*
*محکوم کا اندیشہ گرفتارِ خرافات*

مطلب: آزاد شخص کا فکر، اس کا فلسفہ اور اس کی عقل اصل اور صحیح باتوں سے روشن ہوتی ہے جب کہ غلام کا فکر و فلسفہ اور خیال فضول باتوں میں لگا رہتا ہے ۔


*محکوم کو پیروں کی کرامات کا سودا*
*ہے بندہَ آزاد خود اک زندہ کرامات*

مطلب: غلام چونکہ عملاً بے کار ہو چکا ہوتا ہے اس لیے وہ فوق الفطرت یا عادت کے خلاف اور قانون فطرت سے ہٹ کر کسی کام کے ہونے کی لگن رکھے ہوئے ہوتا ہے کہ شاید غائب سے کوئی ایسی بات ہو جائے جو اس کی کامیابی کی ضمانت ہو یعنی وہ فضول بنیادوں پر اپنی ترقی اور زندگی کی عمارت تعمیر کر سکتا ہے جب کہ آزاد شخص کا ایک ایک لمحہ خود کرامت ہوتا ہے ۔ وہ ایسے ایسے کارنامے سر انجام دیتا ہے کہ اسے فوق الفطرت سہاروں کی ضرورت نہیں رہتی ۔

*محکوم کے حق میں ہے یہی تربیت اچھی*
*موسیقی و صورت گری و علمِ نباتات*

مطلب: غلام قوموں کے مدرسوں میں ایسا نصاب راءج کرتی ہیں جس سے وہ حقیقی علم حاصل نہ کر سکیں- ان کے لیے گانا بجانا، تصویریں بنانا اور نباتات قسم کے علوم سے واقف کروایا جاتا ہے جن کا آزاد سوچ اور حقیقی ترقی سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہوتا۔ بلکہ ان سے ان میں زوال پذیری کی صورتیں پیدا ہوں-

"I propose this evening to speak to you on a new kind of radiation or light emission from atoms and molecules."

With these words, of the University of Calcutta began his lecture to the South Indian Science Association in Bangalore on 16 March 1928. He proceeded to describe a discovery that resulted from a deceptively simple experiment.

The lecture was published in the March 31 issue of the "Indian Journal of Physics", which Raman had founded in 1926 and was its first editor. He obtained 2,000 reprints of the talk as published in the journal to send to scientists around the world, including one with a handwritten note to Niels Bohr.

When the photographer Arthur Sasse asked physicist and scientist Albert Einstein to smile for the camera on his 72nd birthday on 14 March 1951 – this is the image that was taken. Einstein was tired of smiling at all the photographers and instead decided to stick out his tongue. Einstein himself later used the image on greetings cards that he sent to friends.

This image has become one of the most famous and iconic images ever taken of laureate Albert Einstein, who was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics.
