In compliance with the directives of GB Government the executive committee of CEDeF has decided to close all its units (TLA, LGMs and Abul Qasim Learning Hostels) for students till further orders. As per executive committee decision under special circumstances promotions of Grades 6-8 have been made on the basis of their performance in First and Second term assessments. The list of promotions will be shared in the following weeks through TLA page and school notice boards. Furthermore, Orientation session for new comers at TLA scheduled on March 17, 2020 has been cancelled, however details regarding syllabus etc. can be obtained from Admin office during working hours from March 20, 2020.
College students are hereby advised to continue there exam preparation. Decision of their pre-board exams will be communicated in the last week of March 2020.

We congratulate Mr. Muhammad Riaz, subject specialist Physics and member executive council of CEDeF, for winning fully funded scholarship for a two years masters from CYCU Taiwan. Mr. Riaz has been serving at The Learning Academy, Gilgit since 2015. He has also been the teacher of the year for session 2017-18.

We wish him best of luck for his studies.

Annual Parents Day Ceremony 2019

Learning Garden Montessori (LGM), Danyore campus organized annual Parents Day Ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Khaleel Ahmed, acting VC KIU & dean faculty of Life Sciences, KIU Gilgit, graced the event as the chief guest, while Haji Qurban Ali attended the event as guest of honor. Deputy Secretary, W&P Depart. GB Mr. Irshad Hussain & Chairman Behavioral Sciences, KIU Gilgit, Ass. Prof. Dr. Sadiq Hussain were also in attendance.

Students presented various items including short skits, speeches, national songs, and other creative items. Various models were also displayed by students.

We are pleased to share another success story. Mr. Mehdi Irfani, our alumnus of batch 2013, completed his MBBS from Aga Khan University, Karachi.

Mr. Mehdi comes from Nagar, Gilgit. He also secured board positions in SSC & HSSC with Aga Khan University - Examination Board.

We congratulate Mr. Mehdi, his family, and his teachers on this milestone. We also wish him best of luck for his future endeavors.

The Learning Academy, Gilgit mourns the passing away of M. Zafar Shakir, a poet, an activist, and assistant professor at Department of Modern Languages, Karakorum International University with all academic fraternity.

Here at TLA we express our condolences to the bereaved family (read: whole of GB) on their irreparable loss and pray that may Allah grant him with eternal peace.

We are pleased to announce that our student, Syed Hassan Abbas, of grade 11 has won the painting competition titled 'My-Land, My-people' arranged by Special Communications Organization, (SCO) among students of Gilgit-Baltistan, in college category.

100 paintings from all over GB and Kashmir were selected for an exhibition at PNCA, Islamabad. Hussan's painting was one of the painting exhibited.

Pakistan's first lady Mrs. Arif Alvi was the chief guest of the occasion.

We are pleased to announce that our Alumnus Mr. Alam Hussain has successfully completed his MBBS from Rawalpindi Medical College.

We congratulate Dr. Alam, and his family and friends on this milestone.

Dr. Alam is the third MBBS doctor among our alumni after Dr. Ahmed Hussain and Dr. Muhammad Qasim.

Community Educational Development Foundation (CEDeF), in collaboration with Karakorum International University organized a one-day seminar on 'Green Practices and Safe Food Food'.

The seminar was addressed by faculty of KIU, including Associate professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail and Head of Chemistry Department Dr. Sajjad Ali, Dep. Sec. Water and Power Irshad Hussain, Head, WWF-GB, Dr Saeed Abbass, Chairman CEDeF, Qurban Ali Muntazir among others.

The political representatives were represented by Opposition Leader, Cap. R. Shafi Khan. He was also the chief guest of the event.

The recent winners of ECP, 18, team GB, represented by The Learning Academy, Gilgit were also feliciated in the seminar. They also shared their research, experience and business idea.

A handsome number of students, faculty, and other members from civil society attended the seminar.

With a deep heart we annouce the sudden demise of one of our alumnus, Mr. Sher Ahmad in Karachi.

We request all the well wishers to pray for the departed soul and his family. This is indeed a huge loss for the whole community.

Mr. Sher Ahmad had recently completed his Bachelor in Metallurgical Engineering from Dawood University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. Afterwards, he was working in a company as Metallurgical Eng. in Karachi. He had also enrolled for a Masters program as well.

His body will arrive in Gilgit day after tomorrow and will be laid to rest in his hometown Nagar Proper.

We are pleased to announce the students of the leading institution of CEDeF, The Learning Academy, Gilgit has won the national finals of 'Enterprise Challenge Pakistan 2018.

TLA represented Gilgit-Baltistan in a competition in which over 70 schools from all four provinces, Kashmir and GB participated.

The winning team was awarded 1000 pounds and school was awarded 2000 pounds for this success.
