انّا للہ و انّا الیہ راجعون۔

Today, the sound of the flute that once taught the mountains how to sing has fallen silent forever in the valleys of Hunza. Ustad Iftikhar Ift Sahib was the pioneer of the bansuri - he embraced this instrument on Hunza’s soil and planted it in the heart of every student. He spoke without words; every melody of his carried the flow of a river and the whisper of the wind. His body has left us, but his tunes still echo from every school, every home, every window. May Allah grant him a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give us the strength to carry his mission forward. Ameen.
