Congratulations to Raja Muhammad Waseem Ullah Khan on successfully completing his PhD on “Development, Characterization, and Life Cycle Assessment of Circular Composite Materials.”
Congratulations & Thanks to all the supervisory team, including Supervisor Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, FHEA & Co-supervisors Dr. Muzzamal Hussain and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Seyam (North Carolina State University )
His research developed sustainable composites from waste denim and polyethylene, demonstrated strong potential for automotive and construction applications, and provided a life cycle assessment to support circular economy adoption.
A proud moment as his work sets new directions in waste-to-wealth innovations and sustainable materials.

Prof. Dr. Rashid Masood (Rector, NTU), along with Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali (Dean, School of Engineering & Technology), visited NCCM to review the progress of the Centre’s various activities. During the visit, the Rector inspected the newly installed equipment and appreciated the Centre’s socio-economic contributions. He also shared his vision to further enhance NTU’s role in strengthening the national economy through NCCM. Dr. ayub asghar (Director, ATRIC) and Dr. Muzzamal Hussain Hussain (Director, NCCM) briefed the Rector and Dean about the different facilities during the visit.

Delivered the keynote talk at the 1st International Conference on Advances in Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronics, and Energy Engineering (ICAME - 2024) on 17th October, hosted by UET Taxila 🏛️

🎙️ My talk focused on "Composite Materials Research and Applications: A Focus on Global Trends and the Landscape in Pakistan."

🙌 The exchange of ideas on composite materials will undoubtedly push the boundaries of research and application in this exciting field.

Installation Update:
The installation of the
1. Carbon Rapier Weaving Machine and
2. Braiding Machine
is currently underway at the National Center for Composite Materials. Both machines are expected to be fully commissioned by the end of next month. This upgrade will enhance our capabilities in producing woven reinforcements and braided shaped parts, marking a significant advancement in our composite manufacturing processes.
