A NEW ERA FOR EYE CARE: 3rd International Myopia Conference 2025!
The 3rd International Myopia Conference 2025 was a huge success! It brought together experts from around the world to share new ideas and advancements in eye care.
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE CONFERENCE?

The conference culminated in a ceremonial cake-cutting event, graced by our distinguished guests: Professor James Wolffsohn Dean ,Aston University UK and Professor Dr Aamir Ali Chaudhary, Head of Ophthalmology Department , Madinah Teaching Hospitals Faislabad.

The final year students of the Department of Optometry at The University of Faisalabad showcased their exceptional research skills at the Vision Expo, held during the 3rd International Myopia Conference 2025!
Our talented students, under the guidance of their dedicated supervisors, presented their innovative research projects in two formats:
*Prototype Display*: Final year research project prototypes were showcased, demonstrating cutting-edge solutions in optometry.
*Poster Presentation*: Research work was presented in poster format, highlighting the students' academic excellence and research prowess.
Special appreciation to our esteemed supervisors, who mentored and supported our students throughout their research journey!
Their work aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:
*Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3)*: Promoting healthy vision and addressing myopia.
*Quality Education (SDG 4)*: Fostering innovation and research in optometry education.

The University of Faisalabad’s Optometry Department successfully concluded the 3rd International Myopia Conference 2025.
The conference featured over 15 distinguished speakers from both national and international backgrounds, who shared their expertise and insights on the latest advancements in myopia management. Additionally, 8 optometry institutes from across Pakistan participated, making this event a key platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of optometry.
Both Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference were a great success, with engaging discussions, innovative presentations, and a shared commitment to advancing myopia care.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Amir Ali Chaudhary delivered the closing remarks and officially announced the dates for the 4th International Myopia Conference, ensuring the continued growth and development of myopia management worldwide.
