The only thing that fascinates me about campus life at NFC is hostel. I don't think day scholars could feel this the same way as I do. Hostel guys are like a family (forget Lannisters from GOT) and only they can forge long-lasting memories. The years I spent here are going to be the best of my life (Because I don't see any life ahead). I came from a northern area so I could not cope up with the scorching sun of Faisalabad but when miseries are a part of your fate you can't deny them and then it was all normal. The best thing about hostel was the cultural diversity that it presented. A guy from our class was from Afghanistan and he was also a member of TTP. His life at campus came to an end when a Black Vigo offered him a ride (He is currently pursuing his higher education abroad under Bin Laden scholarship, somewhere in the mountains of Syria).
Another thing that fascinates me about NFC was its swimming pool which, unlike others, remains functional throughout the year. Once, even a Japanese team paid a visit and requested to copy the pool's design for 2020 summer Olympics at Tokyo (Their request was turned down and that is the real reason why Olympics got canceled this year).
There is no doubt that beneath the sports complex there was a shrine of a renowned Muslim scholar but, with the extinction of dinosaurs, that shrine collapsed. But still, the presence of those scholars can be felt by flocks of pigeons that have made nests in the sports complex. (Writing while tripping on mushrooms is so fun.)
Life at NFC was good. I did not had outstanding grades, nor did I wasted my time by being part of any society whatsoever. And that is why I believe I am the voice of the majority of hostel students at NFC.
