Current situation in Pakistan also indicates that we have failed to create an education system which could play its role to take Pakistani society to its desired goals. The major cause of this failure is Pakistan’s education system and method of teaching which are confused and lack aim . The method of teaching and syllabus of public sector schools is neither balanced nor according to the needs of present age. Apart from public sector institutes, a huge network of private schools has also emerged on various levels which cannot adequately address national needs and is creating intellectual chaos instead. Even before the birth of Pakistan, Allama Iqbal had loathed western education system which is followed partly by public sector schools and wholly by private schools, and considered it against national needs, and our civilization and customs. He had also rejected education system of madrissas and provided a number of suggestions which, unfortunately, were not followed and implemented at any level.
