🤝 Department of Chemical Engineering Technology Participates in Open House & Job Fair 2026 🎓

The Department of Chemical Engineering Technology, Government College University Faisalabad, proudly participated in the Open House & Job Fair 2026, organized by the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology on 16 June 2026.

The event provided an excellent platform for graduating students to interact with leading industries, explore career opportunities, and showcase their academic achievements and technical capabilities. It also strengthened the link between academia and industry by fostering collaboration, networking, and knowledge exchange.

During the event, faculty members and students from the Department of Chemical Engineering Technology actively engaged with industry representatives, highlighting the department's commitment to producing competent, innovative, and industry-ready graduates. The participation also offered students valuable exposure to current industrial trends, recruitment opportunities, and professional development.

♻️ Department of Chemical Engineering Technology at ICOR-2026 ♻️

The Department of Chemical Engineering Technology, Government College University Faisalabad, proudly participated in the 1st International Conference on Recycling (ICOR-2026), organized by the University of Kamalia Official in collaboration with Government College University Faisalabad and Government College Women University Faisalabad.

The conference was held on 10 June 2026 at the Serena Hotel in Faisalabad, bringing together researchers, academicians, industry experts, policymakers, and students to discuss innovative approaches to sustainable recycling and resource management.

Representing the Department, Dr. Babar Saeed presented research on “Upcycling of Waste PET Bottles into Green Membranes”, highlighting an innovative and sustainable approach to transforming plastic waste into high-value membrane materials for environmental applications. The work reflects the department's commitment to circular economy principles, waste valorization, and the development of green technology.

The conference featured insightful discussions on plastic, food, textile, and agricultural waste recycling, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development.

Participation in ICOR-2026 provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen academic and industrial collaborations, and showcase the innovative research activities being conducted at the Department of Chemical Engineering Technology, GCUF. Thanks to the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization at GCUF for the kind invitation and facilitation.
