The Day of Arafat is among the most sacred and blessed days in Islam. On this عظیم day, millions of pilgrims gather at the plains of Arafat during Hajj, seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness, and countless blessings.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.” (Muslim)

Waqoof-e-Arafat teaches us the values of humility, patience, repentance, unity, and complete submission to Allah Almighty. It reminds us that true success lies in strengthening our relationship with our Creator and serving humanity with sincerity and compassion.

It’s finally that beautiful time of year we all wait for the school bags are packed away, the morning rush has slowed down, and the days stretch long with sunshine and possibility. Summer isn’t just a break from school… it’s a chance for little hearts and minds to breathe, explore, and grow in new ways. Whether it’s lazy afternoons at home, visits to Dada-Dadi, or chasing butterflies in the park, these moments become the childhood memories they’ll carry forever. So let’s make this summer count with joy, with barakah, and with lots of learning hidden in the fun.

Here are 5 HINTS TIPS to make this break meaningful:

1️⃣ Be a Little Explorer 🔍
Gardens, parks, kitchen, or the night sky. If your child notices an ant trail or asks “Why is the sky blue?”, pause and wonder with them. Curiosity is where real learning begins.

2️⃣ Read 15 Mins Daily 📚
A storybook before bed, a page from the Quran, or even reading the menu at a restaurant. Small daily reading keeps young minds sharp without feeling like homework.

3️⃣ Create, Don’t Just Consume 🎨
Build a fort with pillows, paint with water on the floor, or help make fruit chaat. Hands-on creating builds confidence and problem-solving — way more than screen time ever could.

4️⃣ Help & Reflect 🤝
Water the plants, feed the birds, or set the dastarkhwan together. Then ask, “How did helping make you feel?” Small deeds + big conversations = strong character.

5️⃣ Family Talk Time 🗣️
At dinner or bedtime, ask: “What made you smile today?” or “What new thing did you discover?” It builds their speaking skills, memory, and your bond.

Healthy minds need active breaks, but let’s be real... from our tiny Early Years tots to our Years 1 to 5 primary squads, everyone just wanted an excuse to splash their teachers and turn the campus into a full-blown water park! 💦
Our little champions completely took over the pool at 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 (𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝). We say we believe in "experiential learning and motor skills development"... but they definitely came strictly for the epic water fights, saving floaties, and delicious snacks! 🕶️
Between competing for the biggest splash, showing off that confident "I just splashed my classmate and got away with it" smile, and completely forgetting about homework for a day, they beat the summer heat in pure style.
Officially appointing these absolute legends as our Chief Summer Officers! 🌟🏊‍♂️
