Department of Islamic Studies, The University of Faisalabad, successfully organized a spiritually inspiring Hajj event where students from all departments presented creative and meaningful projects highlighting the essence of Hajj.

The event was conducted under the guidance of respected faculty members Dr. Hifsa Munawar, Miss Warda Sehar, Miss Ayesha Ramzan, Miss Saima Anwar, and Miss Shakeela Rasheed, whose support ensured its success.

We were honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Matloob Ahmad as Chief Guest, while Dr. Shaista Shafiq and Dr. Hanan Iftekhar appreciated the studentsโ€™ efforts as judges.

Overall, the event concluded successfully, promoting learning, unity, and the true spirit of Hajj

Department of Islamic Studies, The University of Faisalabad organized an inspiring event titled โ€œBunyan al-Marsus ki Fikri wa Askari Bunyadeinโ€ to celebrate unity, resilience, and collective strength.

The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Matloob Ahmad, Mr. Qaiser Abbas, and Maj. (R) Abid Hussain Shah, who highlighted the importance of discipline, cooperation, and social harmony.

The session began with Tilawat-e-Qurโ€™an by Muhammad Zaki and a beautiful Naat presentation by Muhammad Tauqeer (MPI 2nd Semester).

The event concluded with a powerful message of unity, wisdom, responsibility, and national harmony.

Event Report: Panel Discussion on "Muwakhat-e-Madina aur Talaba ki Tameer-e-Seerat o Kirdar"

The Department of Islamic Studies and the Islamic Philosophical Society, The University of Faisalabad successfully organized a panel discussion on "Muwakhat-e-Madina aur Talaba ki Tameer-e-Seerat o Kirdar" on May 4th, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Mukhtar Auditorium. The event aimed to highlight the importance of Islamic brotherhood and character building among students in light of the historic event of Muwakhat-e-Madina.

The session commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Taha Abdul Razaq, which created a spiritual atmosphere followed by Naat-e-Rasool (SAW) presented by Usama Bin Tariq. Prof. Dr. Matloob Ahmad, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, graced the event as Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized how the spirit of Muwakhat-e-Madina provides a timeless model for unity, sacrifice and moral development in modern educational institutions.

The distinguished panelists included Dr. Sobia Maqsood from National Business School, Miss Javaria Maqsood, Lecturer in Pakistan Studies, History & IR at GCWUF & TUF and Dr. Muhammad Imtiaz, Principal of Jamia Taleem ul Quran. The panelists discussed the practical application of Islamic values in student life role of teachers in character building and the need to revive the spirit of brotherhood to address contemporary social challenges. An interactive Q&A session followed, where students actively participated and shared their perspectives.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony to acknowledge the contributions of organizers and participants. The auditorium was filled to capacity with faculty members and students from various departments.

The event successfully achieved its objective of promoting ethical awareness and unity among students and was appreciated by all attendees for its insightful discussions and effective organization.

The Department of Islamic Studies, TUF organized a โ€œSeminar and Book Review, Muslim-Christian Cooperation: Experiences and Reflectionsโ€ on countering extremism, focusing on interfaith dialogue.
The opening remarks were delivered by Professor Dr Matloob Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, who presided over the session. In his address, he highlighted key examples from the Holy Prophet (SAW)โ€™s life (Seerah), including the Charter of Madinah and the event of Najran, to underscore principles of coexistence and mutual respect.

The keynote speaker, Professor Dr Hermann Robogh from Australia, who is affiliated with Minhaj University Lahore, spoke on the interpretation and understanding of Islam and Christianity in the contemporary global context. He elaborated on the application of these teachings across various spheres of human life, as well as the ethics of international interfaith relations and the importance of peaceful coexistence.

His talk was delivered in the context of the internationally published research volume, โ€œA Vision for Muslim-Christian Cooperation: Experiences and Reflectionsโ€ which he edited. The book features scholarly contributions from 20 researchers representing Europe, Canada, Australia, Indonesia and Pakistan, all addressing the theme of peaceful coexistence. It also includes a paper by Dr Ahmad Raza ul-Habib from The University of Faisalabad.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Katsiaryna Hurbik, from the Department of English Language and Literature who expressed goodwill and appreciation to the guests.
