*Successfull conduction of UET Lahore, Combined Entry Test 2026 (2nd) for admission in engineering and computeing institutions of punjab at UET Lahore, Faisalabad Campus*
By the grace of Allah combined entry test (ECAT 2026, 2nd) for the admission in engineering and computing institutions of punjab have successfully concluded at UET Lahore Faisalabad Campus.
Faisalabad Campus of UET Lahore was the only center of Faisalabad for the entry test and among the 10 test centers across all Punjab. Since the start of the entry test (2023) at Faisalabad Campus the candidates enrollment in the test have increased more than three times in 2026 (2nd) for Faisalabad Campus. Entry test 2026 (2nd) was conducted for 6 days including one test orientation day. Each day includes 4 sessions for each test center. Following campus departments labs were the computerised entry test centers
1.Mechatronic Computer Labs
2.Textile Computer Lab
3.Computer Science computer lab
4.Electrical computer lab

Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir's support and encouragement was crucial for this. Efforts of all the Main campus and Faisalabad Campus teams including technical team, PD team, admin team, security team as well as admission team are appreciated.

As part of its continued commitment to enhancing student facilities and services, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has successfully renovated and restored another bus for UET Faisalabad Campus.

The bus had remained off-road due to its dilapidated condition. Under the visionary leadership of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, comprehensive refurbishment work was undertaken to bring the vehicle back into service, ensuring safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation for students.

The handing over of this renovated bus reflects the University's ongoing efforts to strengthen transport infrastructure and improve the overall student experience. The process of infrastructure improvement will continue until all student-related services are upgraded to the highest possible standards.

UET Lahore remains committed to providing quality facilities and creating a conducive learning environment across all its campuses.

One more bus comprehensive refurbishment is under process and in a month it will be handed over to Faisalabad Campus as well.

=Certificate Distribution & Handover Ceremony=

The Campus Social Media Team 2025–26 successfully completed its tenure and officially handed over responsibilities to the newly selected team.

A certificate distribution ceremony was held at the Campus Coordinator Office under the supervision of Focal Person, Engr. Tanveer Riaz. The Campus Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin presented certificates of appreciation to all team members in recognition of their dedication and valuable contributions.

🎓 PhD Completion Announcement! 🎉

Another successful PhD completion at Department of Textile Engineering, UET Lahore Faisalabad.

We are delighted to share that PhD student, Engr. Khurram Shehzad, has successfully defended his doctoral thesis. His PhD research work was supervised by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin (Chairman of Textile Engineering Department, & Campus Coordinator, UET Lahore-Faisalabad Campus).

It was overall 8th successful PhD supervised by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin.

Since 2017, Number of BSc Textile Engineering students have been graduated from UET’s Textile Engineering Department and since 2022, many graduates of MSc Textile & Materials Engineering are also produced by the department.

*Blood Camp organized by Blood Donating Society of UET Lahore Faisalabad Campus in collaboration with Ali Zaib Foundation*🩸
On 8-06-2026. Faisalabad campus students donated more than 60 bottles of life-saving blood, making a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. In addition, blood screening of more than 80 students were carried out at campus.
Campus Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin along with Ali Zaib Foundation representatives inaugurated this meaningful event. Ali Zaib Foundation appreciated the efforts of the blood donating society, students and administration of the Campus.

🚀 **Final Year Project Exhibition of the Pioneer Batch**

The Department of Computer Science, UET Lahore, Faisalabad Campus, proudly organized the **Final Year Project (FYP) Exhibition 2026** of its pioneer BS Computer Science batch on June 11, 2026 .
The exhibition was attended by distinguished members of the Industrial Advisory Board, including Mr. Athar Mujahid, Mr. Zubair Gill, Mr. Zahid Iqbal, and Mr. Tariq Azhar along with respected evaluators Dr. Haseeb Hussain and Dr. Shoaib Aslam, who highly appreciated the quality, innovation, and industrial relevance of the projects presented by the students.
🌍 The exhibition showcased the department's commitment to developing technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
🧠 Alongside core computing disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Software Engineering, students demonstrated their understanding of emerging fields including **Systems Thinking, Complex Systems Theory, Network Science, and Agent-Based Modeling & Simulation**.
🌐 A defining feature of this year's exhibition was a series of interdisciplinary projects developed through **EmergenceX: Interdisciplinary Complexity Science Lab**, founded by **Dr. Muhammad Yasir**, Founding Director of the Lab and Founding Chairman of the Department. Under his vision and supervision, students applied complexity science and computational thinking to address societal, healthcare, cybersecurity, and economic challenges.
Featured projects included:
🌱 **A Digital Platform for Improving Pakistan's Rural Economy** using Systems Thinking, Game Theory, Complexity Economics, Knowledge Graphs, and Network Science.
👥 **Modeling Scam Awareness Cascading in Artificial Societies** using Agent-Based Modeling and Simulation.
🧠 **A Decision Support System based on the Network Theory of Mental Disorders.**
🩸 **Pakistan's First National Blood Donor Registry and Emergency Blood Donation Platform** based on **Complex Adaptive Systems Theory, Knowledge Graphs, and Network Science**, aimed at transforming emergency blood donation and donor coordination across the country.
🛡️ **A Proactive Network Vulnerability Assessment Tool** enabling network administrators to analyze communication networks through the lens of Network Science and Complexity.
🚜 In addition, students presented innovative projects in agriculture, healthcare, drug-drug interaction analysis, cybersecurity, and Quranic applications, demonstrating the power of interdisciplinary computing to address pressing societal challenges.
🤝 A notable feature of this year's projects was the involvement of external domain experts and industry professionals. The department acknowledges the valuable contributions of **Dr. Hina Amin (Clinical Psychologist)**, whose expertise enriched a mental health-related project, and **Mr. Zubair Gill (CEO, GoogleBiz)**—a Microsoft Certified Trainer and technology consultant in Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Data Analytics—whose mentorship strengthened the practical and industrial orientation of student work.
🏆 The department extends its heartfelt congratulations to all students, supervisors, co-supervisors, evaluators, Industrial Advisory Board members, and industry partners whose dedication and support contributed to the success of this event.
The pioneer batch has set a strong foundation for future generations and demonstrated that the future of Computer Science lies in innovation, interdisciplinary thinking, and meaningful societal impact.

Invitation of EOI for solarization of UET Lahore Faisalabad Campus

UET Lahore intends to solarize it's Faisalabad Campus on BOLT (build, operate, lease and transfer) model and seeks proposals to pre-qualify contractors/firms/companies/JVs for above purpose. Interested parties having relevant experience are encouraged to apply. The complete set of documents are available on PPRA website and EPADS portal. Last date of submitting the online application via EPADS portal is 15-6-2026.
