Honored to present on the topic “Family Support and Burnout Management: Strengthening Caregivers and Sibling Support Programme” during the Autism Management Seminar held on May 17th at Superior University Faisalabad۔

The seminar focused on moving beyond rigid, compliance-based approaches toward more neurodiversity-affirming and practical strategies that support emotional regulation, environmental modification, and overall family wellbeing in autism care.

In my presentation, I highlighted the often-unseen emotional burden carried by caregivers and siblings throughout the autism journey. We discussed caregiver burnout, compassion fatigue, emotional exhaustion, and the importance of building strong support systems for families. Special focus was given to psychoeducation, emotional validation, sibling support, resilience-building, and practical coping strategies that can help families sustain their wellbeing while supporting their loved ones.

Supporting families is not an optional part of autism intervention — it is a fundamental part of effective and compassionate care.

Supervising and mentoring students beyond the classroom through meaningful experiential learning opportunities. Our recent field trip provided students a chance to reflect upon and practice the emotional intelligence skills learned during the Emotional Intelligence course including empathy, understanding the needs of others, and valuing diversity.

It was inspiring to see students engage with compassion, build awareness about inclusion, and develop a deeper understanding of the experiences of differently abled individuals. Small experiences like these play an important role in shaping emotionally aware, socially responsible, and inclusive future professionals.

Successful Completion of Emotional Intelligence Course

It was a wonderful experience successfully completing the Emotional Intelligence Course for students of Beaconhouse International College, Faisalabad.

The aim of this course was to equip students with the understanding and practical skills needed to recognise, manage, and positively utilise their emotions in both personal and social contexts. Through interactive activities and reflective exercises, students actively engaged with these core concepts.

It was truly rewarding to witness their enthusiasm and growth especially during group presentations, where they demonstrated a strong grasp of the skills they had learned.

I’m grateful to Beaconhouse International College, Faisalabad, for trusting me as an instructor and providing me with the opportunity to contribute to students’ personal development and skill-building.

Being part of the 16th International Conference on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Superior University Faisalabad, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, has been an inspiring journey from thoughtful planning to seamless ex*****on.

Each day was filled with learning, meaningful connections, and insightful conversations on the future of mental health and CBT practices in a rapidly evolving technological world.

It is always an honour representing Pakistan Association for Cognitive Therapies (PACT). Working under the leadership of Dr Mirrat and Dr Madiha, alongside such a dedicated team, continues to be a truly enriching experience.

A very special acknowledgement to Dr Arooj for her visionary leadership and tireless efforts throughout the conference.

Sincere appreciation for Miss Raumish Masood for her commitment and valuable contributions in making this event a success.

Delivered a one-day interactive workshop on OCD treatment through CBT, and what an enriching experience it turned out to be!

Connecting with such enthusiastic and passionate young students was truly inspiring. Their eagerness to learn, engage, and practice therapeutic skills for the betterment of patients gives great hope for the future of clinical psychology.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Arooj for providing me with this wonderful opportunity to share my expertise and connect with such bright minds. It was an absolute pleasure conducting this session at Superior University, Faisalabad.
