During the Ottoman Turks' era, whenever a guest arrived, they were presented with coffee and plain water. If the guest reached for the water, it was understood that they were hungry, and thus, the hosts would prepare an exquisite meal. Choosing coffee, on the other hand, signaled no need for food. Outside homes, the presence of yellow flowers indicated someone was ill inside, urging visitors to avoid making noise and welcoming them for a visit. Red flowers outside a house signaled the presence of an eligible young woman, cautioning against inappropriate comments and welcoming suitors.

Houses featured two types of door knockers: a larger one for male visitors, which prompted the men of the house to answer, and a smaller one for female visitors, answered by the women of the house. The Ottomans had a unique way of giving charity: affluent individuals would open accounts in the names of vegetable vendors or shopkeepers. Needy individuals could take vegetables or groceries without payment, and the benefactor would later settle the account without disclosing their identity.

If an Ottoman Turk exceeded the age of sixty-three and was asked about their age, they would humbly avoid stating they had surpassed the Prophet Muhammad's age, saying instead that they had moved beyond a certain threshold. This narrative highlights the Ottomans' respectful and loving manners and traditions, which were so revered that their disruption by enemies was lamented.

The post ends with a desire to share these stories with all Muslims, encouraging them to learn about their history and adopt these noble principles again, praying for guidance along the right path.
