A Fire Fighting Mock Drill and Practical Training Session was successfully conducted today at TUF with the objective of enhancing fire safety awareness and improving emergency response capabilities among staff members. The training was organized in view of the prevailing hot weather conditions, which increase the risk of fire incidents, and to provide hands-on, on-the-job training to employees so they can respond effectively and assist others during emergencies.
The participants included Floor Managers, Administrative Staff, Electricians, Office Employees, Security Personnel, and other support staff. Representatives from University Medical & Dental College Faisalabad (UMDC), The University of Faisalabad, and several students also actively participated in the exercise.
During the drill, a controlled fire scenario was created, and participants were given practical demonstrations on the proper use of fire extinguishers and firefighting techniques. Various participants were individually invited to extinguish the fire under supervision, allowing them to gain confidence and practical experience in handling fire emergencies.
The drill achieved its primary objective of increasing awareness, strengthening emergency preparedness, and improving the ability of staff members to respond promptly and effectively in case of a fire incident.
We highly appreciate the cooperation, professionalism, and timely response of the Civil Defence and Rescue representatives who provided valuable guidance and practical training during the session. Their expertise significantly contributed to the success of the exercise.
We also extend our sincere thanks to all participating staff members, students, and volunteers for their active involvement and commitment to workplace safety. Special appreciation is extended to the In-Charge Security Officer and the Security Team for their excellent coordination, planning, and ex*****on of the mock drill.
Together, through continuous training and awareness, we can ensure a safer working and learning environment for everyone.
