Memorial Day is a federal holiday all over the world remembering the men and women who died while serving in the country's armed forces. The holiday, which is celebrated every year on the last Monday of May,was formerly known as Decoration Day. The students of Gov Boys High School, Dhanote celebrated Memorial Day with great devotion and respect for those who gave their lives for our safety. The boys paid tribute to the Armed force all over the world. They made cards on which they shared their views about the martyrs. In the end all of them gathered and prayed for their souls to rest in peace and realized what makes this day so special.

Access students of Govt. City Girls School Lodhran celebrated “Memorial Day” . They paid tribute to martyrs who have fallen in the services of us all. They fought for peace and freedom. Those “Martyrs” served with great honor, they faced every difficulty with smiling face. They have now moved to Heaven, to reap their “Holy Reward”. Memorial Day:
Memorial Day is a good opportunity to teach about citizenship. Access students of Dhanote Girls Higher Secondary School availed this by making wall of peace. They made charts to depict the different qualities of a good citizen and pasted on the wall. They advocated the five themes of citizenship (honesty, compassion, respect, responsibility and courage) and talked about this day as a day of remembrance for those who have died in the service of our nation.

Access students of Dhanote Girls Higher Secondary School celebrated Memorial Day with great zeal. They made a tree which symbolize shade, protecting shield, shelter, and home and their military fighters as the protectors. They pasted photos of their brave soldiers and military fighters to give a tribute to them. They gave title to their brave combatants. Students fixed photos of different activities of their defense forces and explained these pictures.

Access GaganHatta students planed a trip to Canal View Park. They were very excited, delighted and thrilled to go with their friends and fellows. They take swings, ride on boat, take slides and played different vocabulary games in circle. Teachers arranged some refreshment for students and after playing they were served. Several nations of the world hold an annual Armed Forces Day in honor of their military forces. It is a day to pay tribute to men and women who serve the armed forces. Armed Forces Day is also part of Armed Forces Week, which begins on the second Saturday of May.Celebrations on Armed Forces Day typically include parades and other events staged by the military, as well as patriotic television shows, songs, and fireworks displays. The students of Gov. Boys High school, Dhanote celebrated Armed Forces Day with great enthusiasm. They camouflaged themselves and got ready for a drill. Afterwards they had a parade session and Flag ceremony. In the end, they were shown a documentary on Pakistan Armed Forces which moved them spiritually and morally and they couldn't hold their voices which resulted in a big slogan :

"Pakistan Zindabad" !!!!!!

Access students of Govt.City Boys School,Lodhran celebrated Armed Forces Day by paying highest tribute to Pakistani Army. They watched different documentaries of World’s renowned armed forces and saluted their services for the safety of their motherland. Soldiers sow and grow the seeds of happiness, tranquillity, peace and pride with their blood. Access students had prepared comments of appreciation and prayers for the armed forces and expressed their concerns during a simulated official meeting at high tea.
The other purpose of the activity was to practice good etiquettes and table manners. They pretended to be civilized members of social society from various professions, and discussed the country’s and world’s military affairs with one another. Students learnt sitting and dining manners, the art of criticising and defending opinions politely, and the value and respect of veteran armed forces for defending the geographical and socio-cultural borders of any country. Their spirits were so high during watching the documentaries that most of them made commitments with themselves to join army and become a symbol of pride for the whole nation.

Access GaganHatta students celebrated Armed Forces Day in their Access class. Access teacher give information about U.S Armed Forces Day celebration. They were told about the history and it is celebrated in USA in third week of May. A five to seven mint short documentary were shown them. Some pictures of different armed forces badges were shown to students. They were very excited to know about this celebration and many of them were inspired to join armed forces in their own country and desire to serve their country.

Army is the strength of any country and no country can survive without it. So to celebrate Armed Force Day Access students of Govt. City Girls School Lodhran did parade for ten minutes. They raised slogans and wished for the betterment of the Pakistan and U.S Army and nation. They wished them while saying “God bless you” and “May you live long”. Teacher told students about the importance of traffic signs. Teacher taught students traffic signs with the help of flash cards and taught transport phrasal verbs. After the activity students participated in group competition and enjoyed a lot.
