Xi'an Medical College (Xi'an Medical College) is a full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education and in charge of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. The school is located in Qindu Town, Huxian County, Xi'an City. It is a pilot University of "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program".

As of 2013, the school covers 612 Mu and has a construction area of about 210,000 square meters. There are more than 14308 students of all kinds. In 2011, the school became the "Model College in 2011" and "National Advanced Unit of Vocational Skills".

In 2012, approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, the school was designated as the first pilot University for the training program of outstanding doctors. It undertook the "3+2" clinical medical education personnel training model reform pilot, and was the only pilot unit of this project in Shaanxi Province.

School nursing and stomatology specialty was awarded "provincial key specialty of Higher Vocational colleges" by Shaanxi Provincial Education Department. Nursing and clinical experiment training base was appraised as "demonstration training base of Higher Vocational Colleges in Shaanxi Province".

Teaching achievement

As of 2013, the school has published 6 volumes and 9 issues. Teachers edit 13 textbooks and one textbook. Li Lin's "Medical Students'Career Planning and Employment Guidance" won the second prize of excellent textbooks in Colleges and universities of Shaanxi Province.

Hardware facilities

The school has a beautiful environment, with multi-functional teaching buildings, training buildings, apartment buildings, large restaurants, affiliated hospitals, plastic playgrounds, artificial lakes and small forests. There are 828,000 books in the school library. The school's training, experiment and practice center covers an area of 120,000 square meters, 134 laboratories of various medical specialties, with a total value of about 55 million yuan and more than 4,000 instruments and equipment.

The first phase construction of the Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Medical College has been completed. The affiliated hospital is located on the west side of the campus and covers an area of more than 300 mu. It is a three-level general hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, preventive health care and rehabilitation services. Set up 1200 beds, including 17 departments of internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics.

Research findings

From 2000 to 2010, the school has completed 24 research projects, among which the "Open Nursing Experiment and Training Teaching Model" was awarded as the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan of Shaanxi Education Science 2010 Project". With the approval of the Ministry of Education of Shaanxi Province and the declaration of the Scientific Research Department, the Press and Publishing Bureau of Shaanxi Province approved the official publication of the Xi'an Medical College Forum.
