Two of our students, Mr. Muhammad Uzair Ahmad (Session 2024) and Mr. Arsalan Nawaz (Session 2025) from the Department of Soil Science, have been awarded Gold Medals for KP Chapter at the 21st International Congress of Soil Science, held at the University of Poonch, Rawalakot.

وائس چانسلرگومل یونیورسٹی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد ظفر اقبال نےانے والی 52سالہ تقریب کی تیاریوں کے لیے ڈین فیکلٹی آف لاء اینڈ ایڈمنسٹریٹو سائنسز پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زاہد اعوان کی سربراہی میں اعلیٰ سطحی کمیٹی تشکیل دے دی ہے ۔

گومل یونیورسٹی ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان اپنی 52 سالہ درخشاں تاریخ میں یکم مئی کو پہلی بار ایک ایسے تاریخی دن کو انتہائی شان و شوکت، جذبے اور وقار کے ساتھ منانے جا رہی ہے جو ادارے کے سنہری ماضی، تابناک حال اور روشن مستقبل کی بھرپور عکاسی کرے گا۔ یہ تقریب نہ صرف یونیورسٹی کی علمی و تدریسی روایات کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرے گی بلکہ اس ادارے سے وابستہ لازوال یادوں کو بھی تازہ کرے گی۔

اس باوقار تقریب کی ایک نمایاں اور دلکش جھلک یہ ہوگی کہ 20 ستمبر 1974 کو تعینات ہونے والے اولین اساتذہ کرام بھی اس موقع پر شریک ہوں گے—کچھ بذاتِ خود جبکہ کچھ آن لائن۔ وہ اپنے اُس سنہرے دور کی یادیں، جذبات اور تجربات حاضرین کے ساتھ شیئر کریں گے، جو تقریب کو ایک جذباتی اور تاریخی رنگ بخشیں گے۔

اس عظیم الشان تقریب میں ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان کی ممتاز شخصیات بھی بھرپور شرکت کریں گے۔

گومل یونیورسٹی، جو ماضی کے چیلنجز سے کامیابی سے نبرد آزما ہو کر ایک بار پھر ترقی، تحقیق اور جدت کی راہ پر گامزن ہو چکی ہے، اس پروقار موقع پر اُن تمام عظیم شخصیات کو مدعو کر رہی ہے جنہوں نے اس مادرِ علمی کی تعمیر و ترقی میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا۔

یہ تقریب نہ صرف ماضی کی شاندار روایات کو زندہ کرے گی بلکہ ایک نئے عزم، ولولے اور اجتماعی کوشش کے ساتھ گومل یونیورسٹی کو علم، تحقیق اور ترقی کے ایک روشن مینار کے طور پر دوبارہ دنیا کے سامنے لانے کا پیغام بھی دے گی۔
