A distinguished Ghazian alumnus, Mr. Muhammad Imran, who achieved an exceptional score of 89 out of 90 in the PTE Academic English Test (equivalent to a high IELTS band) and is currently serving as District Literacy Officer, Jhang, was invited to conduct a one-day preparatory session on the PTE Academic examination.
The session was hosted at the Climate Behavioural Lab (CBL), Ghazi University, and was attended by aspiring Master’s and PhD scholarship applicants planning to pursue studies abroad, along with students from the Department of Economics.
Dr. Muhammad Imran, Incharge of the Climate Behavioural Lab, formally welcomed the guest instructor and facilitated the session. On behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad, he conveyed appreciation and institutional support, reaffirming Ghazi University’s commitment to enabling its students to access leading universities around the world.
The session provided valuable strategic guidance and practical insights into achieving competitive scores in international English proficiency examinations.
Climate Behavioural Lab - CBL
CBL is Pakistan's premier Behavioural Lab registered with OECD observatory and situated at Department of Economics, Ghazi University, DG Khan.
On the direction of worthy Vice Chancellor Climate Behavioural Lab, Department of Economics Ghazi University, DG Khan hosted the orientation of Govt. of Punjab, Environment Protection Department’ flagship program “Iam4Climate” which aimed at behavioural transformation at scale through digital interventions and inclusion of green content. Around 50 students from Department of Economics participated in the orientation program many of them registered in the program on the spot as the program offer green credits for monetary gains for the students. CBL Ghazi University will make up a pool of 100 volunteers from the Ghazi University to actively participate in the program and represent the Ghazi University at the provincial green credit competition.

An orientation seminar on the “I Am 4 Climate” programme, initiated by the EPD&CC, Government of Punjab, was held at the Climate Behavioural Lab, Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan. The session was attended by Dr. Hassan (Strategic Planning Unit, Provincial Environment Department), Dr. Saeed-ur-Rehman (Chairperson, Department of Economics), Dr. Muhammad Imran Lodhi (In-charge, Climate Behavioural Lab), and around 50 students.
Under the initiative, the Climate Behavioural Lab will register 100 Green Volunteers and Content Creators, enabling students to contribute to environmental sustainability while earning Green Credits under CM Punjab’s Green Credit Program. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad appreciated the Lab’s role in strengthening national and international collaboration for climate action.

Monthly Research Progress Meeting of Ms. Kanwal an Mphil Economics scholar at Climate Behavioural Lab (CBL) was held. She is working on data driven behavioural strategies for reducing air pollution in major cities of Pakistan. Her work is part of Lab’s recent consultancy work in a World Bank funded project of Punjab Environment Protection Department.
During the meeting she presented various methods of academic literature review writing. Members of the CBL gave feedback on her research work.
CBL which is Pakistan’s pioneer institutional research facility in behavioural Inisghts for climate action strongly believe in data driven behaviourally informed public policy. Founder and Lead behavioural Scientist Dr Muhammad Imran said Vice Chancellor Ghazi University, Prof Dr Ashfaq Ahamad has mandated him to develop this lab into a National Centre of Excellence in Behavioural Public Policy.

When we understand the science behind it, we learn that even in the presence of difficulties, it is possible not only to remain happy, but to consciously cultivate and share happiness with others.
This was the central theme of today’s discussion at the Climate Behavioural Lab (CBL), where we explored how behavioural science helps us move beyond circumstances and build emotional resilience with intention.

Countries around the world are increasingly benefiting from linking human behavior with public policy, yet in our context, policymakers’ continued reliance on purely technological and conventional solutions remains a major barrier to realizing these gains. The Climate Behavioural Lab (CBL) at Ghazi University represents Pakistan’s first institutional initiative to scientifically integrate human behavior into the solution of environmental challenges in a manner that is directly adaptable at the policy level.
