غازی یونیورسٹی میں جنوبی پنجاب کے نوجوانوں کے لیے ایگرو بیسڈ تربیتی پروگرام کامیابی سے جاری

غازی یونیورسٹی ڈیرہ غازی خان میں “ایگرو بیسڈ ٹریننگ فار یوتھ آف ساؤتھ پنجاب” پروگرام کامیابی کے ساتھ جاری ہے۔ اس پروگرام کا انعقاد پاکستان ایجوکیشن انڈومنٹ فنڈ (PEEF)، اسلام آباد نے شعبۂ سوشیالوجی، غازی یونیورسٹی کے اشتراک سے کیا ہے۔ تربیتی پروگرام کا مقصد جنوبی پنجاب کے نوجوانوں، بالخصوص خواتین کو جدید زرعی مہارتوں سے آراستہ کرنا اور انہیں پائیدار کاروباری مواقع سے جوڑنا ہے۔

تربیتی سرگرمیوں کے دوران طلباء و طالبات کو زیتون سے تیار کردہ قدرتی صابن بنانے کا عملی طریقہ سکھایا گیا۔ ماہرین نے بتایا کہ زیتون کے قدرتی اجزاء سے تیار کیا جانے والا یہ صابن جلد کے لیے نہایت مفید ہے، اس کے کوئی مضر اثرات نہیں ہوتے اور یہ مارکیٹ میں دستیاب صابن کے مقابلے میں کم لاگت سے تیار کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ اس تربیت کا بنیادی مقصد نوجوانوں کو گھریلو سطح پر منافع بخش کاروبار کے قابل بنانا ہے۔

ایگرو بیسڈ تربیتی پروگرام کے تحت شرکاء کو زیتون کی نرسری کی تیاری، ویلیو چین ڈیولپمنٹ، جدید مشینری کے مؤثر استعمال اور شعبہ جاتی نظم و نسق سے متعلق جامع عملی اور مارکیٹ پر مبنی رہنمائی فراہم کی جا رہی ہے۔ پروگرام کا ہدف پائیدار زراعت کے فروغ، کاروباری مواقع کی تخلیق اور روزگار کے نئے امکانات پیدا کرنا ہے۔

یہ تربیتی پروگرام وائس چانسلر غازی یونیورسٹی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اشفاق احمد کے وژن اور خصوصی دلچسپی کا مظہر ہے، جن کی قیادت میں یونیورسٹی خطے کی خواتین اور نوجوانوں کو معاشی طور پر مستحکم بنانے کے لیے عملی اور نتیجہ خیز منصوبے متعارف کروا رہی ہے۔

بنیادی مقصد جنوبی پنجاب میں زیتون کی صنعت کو مضبوط بنیادوں پر استوار کرنا، نوجوانوں کو خود کفیل بنانا اور دیہی معیشت کو پائیدار سہارا فراہم کرنا ہے۔

غازی یونیورسٹی ڈیجیٹلائزیشن میں ملک بھر میں دوسری پوزیشن حاصل کرنے میں کامیاب
غازی یونیورسٹی ڈیرہ غازی خان نے ڈیجیٹلائزیشن کے شعبے میں ایک اہم قومی کامیابی حاصل کرتے ہوئے ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن (HEC) پاکستان کے “مکتب” (MAKTAB) ڈیجیٹل ٹرانسفارمیشن پلیٹ فارم کے تحت ملک بھر کی جامعات میں دوسری پوزیشن حاصل کر لی۔
یہ اعزاز 5 جنوری 2026 کو اسلام آباد میں منعقدہ افتتاحی تقریب میں دیا گیا، جہاں وفاقی وزیر برائے منصوبہ بندی، ترقی و خصوصی اقدامات احسن اقبال نے مکتب پلیٹ فارم اور ERP پورٹل کا باضابطہ افتتاح کیا۔ تقریب میں چیئرمین ایچ ای سی ندیم محبوب، ایگزیکٹو ڈائریکٹر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیاء الحق، سرکاری جامعات کے وائس چانسلرز اور اعلیٰ تعلیمی ماہرین نے شرکت کی۔
غازی یونیورسٹی نے 25 سرکاری جامعات میں تعلیمی، انتظامی اور مالیاتی نظام کی مکمل ڈیجیٹلائزیشن پر قومی سطح پر دوسری پوزیشن حاصل کی، جو یونیورسٹی کے جدید اور شفاف انتظامی وژن کا مظہر ہے۔
اس موقع پر وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر اشفاق احمد چٹھہ نے کہا کہ مکتب نظام کے نفاذ سے یونیورسٹی کے تمام امور خودکار ہو چکے ہیں، جس سے کارکردگی، شفافیت اور طلبہ و فیکلٹی کو فراہم کی جانے والی سہولیات میں نمایاں بہتری آئی ہے۔
غازی یونیورسٹی کی اس شاندار کارکردگی پر وائس چانسلر کو یادگاری شیلڈ جبکہ نفاذی ٹیم کے ارکان کو تعریفی اسناد دی گئیں۔ قومی سطح پر یہ کامیابی یونیورسٹی کی ڈیجیٹل ترقی اور ادارہ جاتی قیادت کا واضح ثبوت ہے۔

Ghazi University actively participated in a two-day Orientation and Training Session of the Female Ambassador and Entrepreneur Pitch Program, organized by the Women Development Department (WDD), Government of Punjab, at Shalimar Tower, Lahore.

The training sessions focused on women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and capacity building, reflecting the University’s strong commitment to empowering women and promoting leadership development among female students and staff.

This participation also contributed to strengthening institutional collaboration with the Women Development Department for future initiatives.

From university Incharge Women Development Center Dr. Sumaira Bano and Ms. Anum Zahra represented GU, and female ambassador Mishal Rehman and in female pitch competition Aqsa Batool and Mukarma Masood participated in the event.

Ghazi University commends the efforts of the Women Development Centre, Ghazi University, for its continued role in empowering female students and staff and fostering a culture of professional growth and leadership.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Worthy Vice Chancellor and the dedicated team of the Office of the Controller of Examinations for providing us with the valuable opportunity to interact with the faculty members and students of GGCB Block No. 17, Dera Ghazi Khan; GGCB; and GGCW Alipur, Muzaffargarh, for the evaluation of Final Year Projects (FYPs) for the session 2021–2025.

Capacity Building Initiative Launched for Youth of South Punjab on Olive Sector Development

Under leadership of Vice Chancellor Ghazi University, Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad A capacity building training program titled “Agri-based Training for Youth of South Punjab” has been started in the university with the aim of empowering youth through skill development in the emerging olive sector. This initiative highlights the university’s role in community development and agricultural innovation.

The program is being organized by the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (PEEF), Islamabad, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, GU. The initiative reflects a strong commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities for the youth of South Punjab, especially for females.

The training will focus on olive nursery production, olive value chain development, machinery, and management of the olive sector, providing practical and market-oriented knowledge to participants.

The training aims to equip young participants, especially females with technical skills and practical understanding of the olive industry, enabling them to contribute effectively to agricultural diversification, rural livelihoods, and economic growth in the region. This initiative is expected to strengthen the olive sector in South Punjab and open new avenues for youth engagement in agri-based enterprises.
